Punthill Apartment Hotel Ivanhoe reviews
25 Punthill Apartments in Heidelberg was a magnificent place to stay staff were a pleasure to deal with and Bec went out of her way to get a room sorted early as I had a Mum in hospital very unwell. A few days later had a concern and the lady who has just come off maternity leave (sorry I didn’t know your name) was very understanding and accommodating. Accommodation was so clean and first class with washer machine, dryer, ironing board, dishwasher and full size fridge.
Train station 5 min walk and shopping Centre about 7 mins with so many restaurants. We will be back
Stunning views - you must book B108!
Clean, hygienic, spacious and fully self contained.
The reception staff were lovely, easy check in and free parking right out the front. And although you can cook to your heart's content in the room facilities, there's a Thai restaurant straight across the road where you can order online and pick up. I will be staying again!
I loved the Ivanhoe Punthill Apartments. The staff were friendly & always helpful - were able to give great tips and advice and any question I had regarding my stay they answered and helped with promptly.loved it so much for my short 1 week stay, I rebooked my next 4 week stay.
For a longer stay they put me on the floor with other longer stays so guests had minimal transfer of people on one floor. The apartment building itself was extremely safe in regards to locked floors and building access being locked when reception was not covered. There was reception from 7am to 8pm - so I felt extremely safe. They are also pet friendly, I had my cat stay & my dog - which the staff were awesome with and loved petting or doing an extra clean if I request it.
The location is brilliant- so close to Heidelberg train station (legitimately 10 mins walk) and had plenty of shops nearby. To get into the city via an uber is 15-20 mins! The rooms and facilities were clean, simple to use & accessible. Internet access was also amazing.
I highly recommend booking here for a no fuss, stress free and fully serviced stay. You have the perks of a clean (and cleaned daily) room with working kitchen (stove plus oven plus large fridge), staffed reception, and location for Melbourne.
Did I happen to mention that the staff were also pretty amazing and friendly? 10/10
Excellent, highly recommend. Staff are the loveliest and most compassionate and professional I've ever dealt with dealt with. From the time i checked in until leaving, they were wonderful. Thank you.
A client of mine recently stayed here for respite for 4 weeks. With a hospital visit and Covid isolation during the stay, the staff at Punthill were absolutely understanding and accommodating to all needs. They went above and beyond and were always friendly and made time for us. The facility was disabled friendly and suitable. Thank you to all staff. Highly recommend Punthill Apartments.
Welcoming and informative staff. We stayed on the quieter side of the street - no traffic noise. Good sized rooms, kitchen etc. Didn't like the weeds on the outside deck. - could this be grassed over or plant flowers?
It was a pleasant stay with decent sizes apartments, the staff were welcoming and friendly. The only downside is the paid secured carpark. Paid for a spot but its not guaranteed. Only a few slots are available but some hotel guests or visitors were using it too.
Staff at reception were friendly on check in. However the room was not clean to a satisfactory standard.
Paid for parking. No spots available. Offered a refund. Still waiting. The room was dirty. Hair in the drawer where the hair-dryer was kept, hair in the shower. Weeds on the balcony, spiderwebs, no instant coffee. For $250 I expect much better. Would not recommend.
I cannot say enough how disappointed I am in this hotel, from internet not working to paid car parks not available. Tried bringing it up with staff, then manager, then head office with no replies. Seems like the careless attitude starts at the top. I do NOT recommend staying here, I know I won’t again. (Waiting for the generic reply to my review).
Courteous, efficient staff. Clean, well appointed, modern & spacious rooms. Nespresso coffee supplied. Good little gym. Only a 5 min walk to Austin & Warringal Private Hospitals, 10 to the train station. & start of the shops & dining strip. Wi-Fi a bit slow, traffic noise unavoidable. Pricey but can't complain really.
Staff were amazing. But room kind of dirty, and there were about $30 of hidden fees in final bill. Wouldn't recommend for the prices they charge
Stayed here for a week for work. Had everything I needed for the week, but the standout aspect was the staff, particularly Bec, who turned my problem checking in at odd hours, into no problem at all
1. No wifi connection on day 1. After we have highlighted the concern on Friday around 1PM, nothing was done. No wifi on day 2 as well. Then front desk update us the next day is nothing to do with the property, blame it to external party. The most disappointed part is the lack of compassion shown by the staff.
2. No car park space on day 1, even though we have paid for car park for both days. We only found out at around 11PM on day 1, and was told "nothing can be done, please find your own car park on the street"
3. When we complaint about no car park on day 1, she is kind enough to offer us a allocated car park space on B2. However, she also provided us with the wrong information, saying that we can use the back lift to access our apartment. We end up needing to come to B1, then walk a long way to the front lift to access our apartment. The disappointed part is the wrong info given about the lift, not the walk.
4. There is only 1 set of cutlery available in the room, when we clearly states 2 person will be staying in the room.
5. Upon check out, no question ask about our stay, no effort to apologise for our unsatisfactory stay. Staff seems not to care how our stay have been.
Has issues with late check in - access pass would not work and had to wait 20 minutes for security. Upon entering the room, the balcony door was left open (not sure if this is how it’s supposed to be) but it made me feel unsafe. Bed sheets were clearly not changed as there was hair on the pillow and blanket and it smelt like mens body spray. The bathroom sink also had a piece of hair and yellow stains, towels smells and the coffee machine was broken
I really enjoyed my stay here. Close shopping centres and it's a short car, taxi or train trip to the city. Also the staff were really polite and very friendly.
I look forward to staying there again sometime.
The bed was very uncomfortable. I barely could sleep well.
Wifi was not fast enough. Spent a lot of time just to upload instagram stories.
Hot and cold water was not stable. Warm, suddenly came to hot.
Excellent customer service however the room was another issue. The bed was like a giant fluffy pillow that we rolled into, in the middle.one soap, no face towels, no doona, just a thin blanket between sheets. No bed head. Lacking cutlery/glasses. Hooks in walls, mirror on the floor. Would not stay here again. Dirty hallways and walls in building. Disappointing as usually Punt Hill apartments are great. You can tell they are not owned by Punt Hill. Not happy Jan!
Not bad but not great for a short stay. The staff are great and willing to help at anytime. Couldn't praise them higher. Especially Tammara. The apartment was okay.
The lounge room could do with a higher backed couch as was quite low and after sitting there all day you get a sore back. The fittings and style are somewhat modern but wasn't needed with some of it. It was a bit too try hard. The toilet is modern but an odd shape so uncomfortable to sit on, lovely shower but the sink, difficult when brushing teeth as it gets all over the tap. The window and sliding door could do with fly screens. As I was wanting fresh air in my room but couldn't as I was letting in bugs.
I ended up with a sore back as had to stay 5 days as my husband was doing trial chemo at the Austin. So between sitting on the couch and the bed. My back did not agree. It does have lovely other facilities like a gym but unfortunately due to Covid it was unaccessible.
Room was made ready a bit early for my husband, I and our 5month old son. Reception staff were very friendly and informative and had good conversational skills, room was easy to find and generally was nicely spaced out and furnished.
Cleanliness was an issue.
There were long dark hairs in the bed sheets, marks on walls, bowls were in the drawers with chunks of food still on them, there was an eyebrow stencil on the floor of the bedroom and sticky stuff (lollies I think) smattered around the floor of the kitchen/dining/lounge area.
There was a pen in the cup holder that when I pulled it out to use it had chocolate shoved in the end, I pressed the clicky bit to get the pen bib out and it fell apart, kinda gross.
I called reception twice looking for an extra towel to be able to bathe our son but was faced with going through to a 1300 number and not receiving said towel, my husband went to reception and as it was after hours was not able to get an extra one.
Bed was comfortable and easy to move to put the pram next to it, power points easy to get to, nice view.
