Punt Road Winery - Cellar Door Yarra Valley

Beautiful winery that was overshadowed by rude staff. We had phoned during the week to notify that a group of 25 were coming through. Upon arrival the lady working seemed displeased immediately. When the group went to order food the lady behind the counter proceeded to eat her lunch in view of a line of 20 people waiting to be served. When queried if there were any food options she again rudely said ‘no, nothing’, when intact there were cheeses and crackers. The positive aspect of the winery is the beautiful location, however all interactions with that particular staff members were poor. If you work in hospitality in a winery you need to do better.

We were the only ones there at the time. Got to sit in the back under a tree, it was lovely. Wines were also delicious and fairly priced. Compared to other wineries i felt comfortable staying there a few hours. Staff was lovely and took really good care of us.

Incredible service and very nice wines and ciders. Went in for a tasting and was not disappointed in the slightest. They deserve the ratings they have from within the industry.

The wines here were all knock-out delicious. The wine host was friendly and knowledgeable and we had a really great time at the tasting. It set the bar high for the rest of our Yarra Valley trip. Strongly recommend and will visit again!

Beautiful cellar door with the new addition of an outdoor cider bar focusing on fresh apple & pear brewed beverages. Enjoy playing the giant Jenga here or watching others play.

One of my favourite winery experiences in Yarra Valley. We had a really great time doing the tasting on a late saturday afternoon, the staff are personable, friendly and made us feel at home with a great selection of wines, our favourite being the reserve malbec 2019.

Just goes to prove you don't need a fancy sculpture garden or art gallery, and that good wine, good service and a picturesque setting is all some of us need to enjoy a day in YV.

We made the mistake of coming during the Sunday market and it was truly awful. The bus that was meant to take you from the overflow car park never arrived. There were heaps of parks available inside but the power mad security guard wouldn’t let anyone inside even though I had just had my stomachs cut open from hip to hip for a breast reconstruction and had a booking for a tasting. The tasting was slow and very male focused. As a female, the male wine server did not look at me nor address me. We purchase their wines on a weekly basis but will continue shopping at Dan Murphy and not make the mistake to go to their cellar door and certainly not on a market day!

All the wines my friends and I tried were delicious but the service was pretty lackluster. My friends are new to wine and this was the perfect opportunity for someone engaging to step in but instead it felt like we were laughed at and ignored.
The cider bar had a brilliant inviting feel to it but once again, staff were not all that engaging.

Highly highly recommend the wine tasting here.   The staff are authentic and knowledgeable and love Punt Road wines.
The grounds are beautiful, a lovely setting for tasting some really great wine. Particularly love the picture perfect apple trees as we drive up to the cellar door.

Had a great time here, the lady introduced us the Pinot gris with skin in, it’s a experimental wine but so great, it’s light and smooth, so easy to drink. The gentleman who get us the drink was so nice and sweet, didn’t get their name though.

Btw, as a plant dad they has the really healthy and bushy fiddle fid leaves and rubber plant. Amazing. Cheers

Fantastic wines and cosy cellar door. Definitely one of our favourites if you enjoy pinot and sparkling wines!

The wines were lovely and the service provided by Cory was exceptional. I couldn't resist buying a bottle of the 2015 sparkling!

The person who guided us through the wine tasting was humble, approachable and professional, she showed a deep understanding of the cultivation of their wine and was happy in sharing her love for this industry throughout the experience. I brought visitors from interstate and it was really disappointing. The staff just treated us with utter disdain. They clearly don’t want to be there and aren’t interested in customer service, explaining their wines or even acknowledging customers. If I owned this business I’d be pretty embarrassed. Avoid. Plenty of better options nearby!
