Puffing Billy Park and Playground

Nice park for kids. Great place for picnic. Grt to see Puffing Billy pass by. Close to shops also.

As a local we try and avoid the park even though it's the main park in town, it's outdated and an embarrassment to all the tourists that come to our town.

A great park for kids! On top of the playground, there is bbq, picnic area, gazebo and toilet too! Nice to stay and sit under the tree whilst watching the kids play.

Great location great experience even on an overcast a a bad weather still plenty of people always good to see.

Grew up near here and was saddened by the sign outside saying it was a temporary place. But lo and behold it still lives: D still love playing here although I'm far too big. Good picnic tables around, though not as many as some years ago. What I like best however is the fact that the playground itself has mostly been left as it was when I was a kid.

Great spot with some great food nearby. Chookery Cafe and the Emerald Village Bakery sell amazing food.

This is my favourite place 2 catch the puffing billy with the kids. Picnic in the park while the little ones run off the 'extra steam' in the playground or grab a 5* coffee & baked delight from the Belgrave bakery down the road. Either way an icecream from the specialty shop is the best way to finish off a great day out. Absolutely love this place!

Nice little park and sitting area near the Emerlad main town. Within walking distance from several quality cafes and shops.

Nice little park to eat fish & chips in. Right next to Puffing Billy which is always fun to wave to.

Really good playground with toilets and picnic tables and an undercover area. Kids love to see Puffing Billy travelling by regularly and the ice cream shop across the road is a nice bonus! Partially fenced. Needs more tables.

Great park. Only things that let it down is the crude grafitti on the play equipment & not enough secure fencing to keep little ones in & away from the road

Unique and scenic route with ancient steam engine and very well organized. Must do experience although it takes whole day away.

This park needs more protection from the weather. Shade sails could be beneficial. Also the children's play equipment is run down and in need of maintenance.

This is a great little park to take the kids. We were there on a Sunday & a dinosaur puppeteer had been organised to walk around Emerald which the kids loved. The park isn't the biggest or greatest but has enough climbing areas, a couple of slides as well as swings to keep the kids amused for a while. It's quite open so if it's sunny remember the sunscreen. And there are public toilets right next door.

Especially for children who enjoy waving to Puffing Billy over the fence. Good for a BBQ. Playground is otherwise "okay".

Awesome little playground and picnic spot. Has public BBQ and toilets. Loads of space to run around and good play equipment. Watch the stream trains go past or break your Puffing Billy journey here for lunch.

Nice, small playground with picnic facilities. Can become crowded depending on how busy Puffing Billy station is.
