Priya Indian Restaurant

Used to be really good, but now not so much. We have been regulars here for years. But on couple of recent visits I have noticed the prices have gone up exorbitantly and the portion size has decreased. The food is high quality and tasty though.
The staff can be more attentive, we had to wait for the plates even after the dish was served, my glass of water was cleared without asking if I was done.
It used to be very crowded, now on Friday night too, it's wasn't full.
I have reduced my rating from 4 stars to 3.

Good one. Pretty decent ambiance. Good staff. Drums of heaven (chicken 65) is worth a try. Pepper fish tasted good too. Chicken biryani was almost Mughal type. Also was satisfied with chicken fried rice.

Biriyani was really one of the worstI have ever eaten, the murgh chicken was recommended by the owner and it had too much tomato flavour.
I would not recommend this place to anyone.

We went to priya resturant on 25th april 2021. As we entered in the resturant.it was quite full and we were 3 people, so last siting was available.as we went to sit there one girl with short hair shouted on us excuse me i can't give you that sitting take only this one.it was so rude every body was looking at us.if it is for 6 people then you have to mark it reserve so that customer should not think of sitting there.we we ordered food and sat another table.she did same with aussie guy and he asked straight away why i cant sit.same reason she gave.no sorry.nothing that guy immediately left resturant coz he felt insulted.so plz tell you staff to be polite with customers.have some courtesy! And we were there for one hour all those 3 tables were empty no body came to sit.i just wana say plz treat you present customers nicely.

Nice cozy place with a taste of rich and healthy Indian cuisine. Excellent hospitality and Special thanks to Harleen for her wonderful service. Food wise excellent and Pista kulfi was too good. Must try place.

Food is average and service is way below average with some callous waitresses!
The main order was taken by a lovely gentleman and was served by another welcoming gentleman. But that’s about it.
The lady waitress was way too casual while bringing a simple mango lassy, resulting a messy glass! It was hard to get their attention though the restaurant was not even 25% full, they were very occupied gossiping and was trying to avoid eye contact. We ordered masala tea to one waitress and was told it’s not available by another waitress. And interestingly after few minutes, the waitress who had taken the order for tea, came back saying now it’s our “choice” if we want the tea now, as it’s available now! She also mentioned there was a misunderstanding! Misunderstanding about “tea” in an indian restaurant, I don’t think it would be much appreciated!
While paying the bill, the lady on the counter noticed the tea was already on the bill! And she had to take it off. We should have understood we are not welcomed when we were shown a corner seat despite having free window table, and we had a 3 year old with us.
Please let the customers know beforehand if you don’t want to serve south Asian people, who doesn’t drink alcohol, it would save time from both ends.

Not sure what's happening here but food portion a bit small since last takeaway. But still nice to eat here. Opinion on takeaway.

Food taste was good and spicy. But, all the food prices were little bit expensive comparative to other Indian restaurants in Victoria.

Consistency in Taste.
Priya Restaurant seems to have mastered the skill of presenting various spice blends consistently. The Chefs are zen in making tasty culinary explosions and have always served our palate well. I have been dined at this restaurant for years and have enjoyed my food. Keep up the good work.

Wow amazing tasty traditional Indian cuisine. Authentic and delicious. Great service. Halal dishes. Ordered the hottest vindaloo and it was so delicious. The Spice did not overide the vindaloo but it was really hot! They know how to serve their food well.

Yummy food. Good variety in the menu.for responsive staff who know what they are doing and not to forget.quick service too.if very happy with my experience.

Don’t come here if you are hungry.speed of service is disappointing.one would loose appetite before food comes. I am in restaurant now and so frustrated with service that I am writing this review. Try Dosa hut on other side of road.much better service.

Had breakfast there yesterday and it was good, nicely cooked and good presentation. We will be back to try other dishes too soon.

Honestly speaking, though the ambience was good, the food didn't live up to the expectations.felt Really sick the next day.but I can say that the paan kulfi was really good.heard it's made in-house.but yea, it's different for everyone so, one-time show this is.interiors done really well though.apart from that.everything was just ok.a bit costly as well

1st time getting a takeaway tonight husband has an allergy to fresh chilli could not have been more accommodating thank you food was outstanding I'm not a fan of chicken thigh but I'm converted thank you again for the fantastic food a well deserved 5*****

Curries tasted good. Yet I won't recommend the biryani. Everything is way too expensive for the quantities served.

It's a busy place and I've been there once was really busy and they had limited staff like we ordered entree food and they brought us food but no folks or knives lol we had to ask then then we order vegan mild food but they made it too spicy to eat lol never wana vist there for now
