Print On Demand - South Melbourne

Fast and high quality service. No other print shop was able to scan the light pastel texta colours on textured paper for a poster I had commissioned from a local artist for an event, with the scanners bleaching out and missing entire words in the scans, but Print on demand’s scanner brought out every detail perfectly. It was 50 cents or so more expensive than other spots but the quality is reflected in the cost. Ignore poor reviews, people should be going to Officeworks or whatever if they want a quick dirty print not a specialist small business. People are too stupid to understand star rating systems, you don’t give out spiteful one star reviews because you had to pay an extra 50 cents but the rest of the service and quality was perfect, it’s moronic, I bet you all sit at home and get Uber eats like pigs and don’t flinch at paying 6.99 service fees. Reconsider allowing people you interact with not having uniformity around eating their overhead costs to satisfy toddler people who pretend they care about 50 cents and some misguided idea about “service”. Stop giving small businesses one star reviews and grow up. Highly recommend Print on demand.

Easiest place I have printed! I walked in and was done within 5 minutes. The lovely lady at the counter too was super helpful and a blessing to deal with!

No queuing up or hassle like officeworks

Be aware if you want to print one page the staff will ask you to print visa self service pc, but they don't inform you in advance that there is extra charge for using the PC, then ask you to pay 85 cents instead of 10 cents for the print. If you argue they will say the charges are there beside the PC but the charge list printed is clearly say 10 cents for black and white print but conveniently the charge of 5 minutes PC use is printed somewhere else. This is clearly designed to trick customers and not clearly state the charges in advance. Firstly staff should tell about the extra pc usage changed when they point to use the PC, secondly they should print that minimum cost to print is 85 cents because in reality that is the minimum amount you will end up paying.

We have been using Print on Demand for years for our business. They are flexible, great to deal with, work our unique printing requirements and very affordable. I strongly recommend Rahul and the team!

Great service, just a two days before we decided for a new menu printing for a resturant and have done the job on time. Great service easy to deal with keep up the good work.

The charged me 85 Cents for 1 sided black and white A4 print. When I asked them, they said it is for the use of computer for self serve. Funny thing is I entered the premises and told them I wanted a A4 print and the guy pointed at the computers implying to self serve myself. If they expect you to self serve, you have go to use their computer for a minute to print and they charge you for that usage!
I feel like they should tell you that there will be a charge for the use of computer prior to printing and also offer to print the page themselves and charge people for just a print.

FINALLY, a self-service scanner joint that lets you scan documents at 600dpi. Who'd have thought such a thing would be so damn hard to find in Melbourne? ! (Officeworks were zero help…)

Be aware! They will charge you $$$$ for less than 5min on the computer even if you DON'T use the internet. We went there to print some forms we'd already gattered in a single usb drive but when we went for the printer (that has a USB port and from where you can print directly without needing access to a computer) they had tapped the hole shut to force people to use their computers. We told them everything was on the drive and that we didn't need access to a computer (because we knew the minutes are charged there) and they told us to put our USB in one of the computers anyway just to print from there with no extra, which we did. And at the end, well surprise surprise: we had to pay 13$ for 3min "using" the computer without accessing the web or anything else! We tried to reason with the guy who told us to go there in the first place, but really nothing to do. Their response (?) : "You printed fast yes but then you stayed IN FRONT OF THE COMPUTER filling the forms you've just printed and so "blocking" the use of a station for almost 20min". I asked why they didn't tell me to move then and write elsewhere and apparently they "didn't want to bother me"! Total joke as there were 5 computer stations there and we were the only clients on the shop along with a fella who came in for 5min just to scan stuff, so we blocked absolutely nothing to nobody! Total ripp off and scam! Don't go there. The worst customer service ever and bad faith!

I have used them for years (mostly the Sth Melb, and occasionally the city office too), for several different companies & clients - they are particularly good at large, bulky jobs and complex jobs (ie alot of collating, binding, different types of paper & card stock, etc). Staff are super helpful and flexible, esp for rush jobs.

85ct for a single A4 page black and white is just a joke! They force you to use the computer (since they charge 5 dollars for processing an email) and that is 15ct per minute, but minimum usage is 5 minutes! So 5 x 15ct = 75ct plus 10ct for the actual print (which of course is fair). However, the stuff was nice and the printer did the job -> 2 stars.

Customers, I would read C&J's review first, as to why I thought to write my first review complimenting Print On Demand - South Melbourne.

C&J came into the store speaking on her phone throughout. I know, because I had to listen to her conversation whilst I sat next to her doing my own work. She then forgot some papers, continued on her phone whilst the lady at the counter served her. I handed her papers. No thank you; no acknowledgment prior giving her a heads up. Blatant rudeness and an attitude of entitlement.

Needless to say, as a local resident I have begun using Print On Demand way more than Officeworks. At the end of day, all their printers work, the staff are courteous and efficient, the place is clean and professional.

They also go that extra step. When I asked a few months ago if they knew of a courier service for legal documents, they recommend a vendor for $16 and service within 2-hours. And we all know what it costs via AustPost or DHL!

Hence nothing but good words. If you view a 1/5 star review, consider this the exception and not the norm.

BADD! PLACE TO GET Printed a banner paid premium price compared to what i could have paid else where I paid more than 2 and half times more than price and very bad quality compared to what you can get else where. It was bad customer service when you tried to tell them they don't appreciate feedback and won't refund you. Extremely disappointed with quality what a shame. Customers make your business 1 bad review can dramatically reduce your sales because you wont accept feedback.taking my business else where.

They are just amazing. I needed some flyers for a show within 24 hours and they had them printed and delivered on the same day and the quality and price were just the best.

We have been dealing with Print on demand for quite some time, primarily printing training manuals. Their service is always excellent, and they always deliver on time as required; even when we have an urgent need for printing. And in the rare event when something goes wrong with the print job, they will always make good. I highly recommend them.

As a graphic designer who works next door to their shop, I find them to be so reliable and great value.
