Princes Park reviews
22Fabulous park for a walk. Includes sports grounds, dog off leash areas, water and toilets. Good children's playground too. Try it!
Renovations to children's play area taking forever. Looks like another 12 months to finish.
1. Needs to be patrolled, there is far to much lack of dog owner responsibility for cleaning up their pet's mess. There is far too much poop all over the park.
2. Huge park with very little activity space for children. No water park, etc.
A huge property which is a wasted resource.
Great open spaces, clean and well cared for.
Great space to take dogs, lots of friendly dogs and dog owners
Quite big park with multiple BBQs. There is a kids playground and rides. Two big ovals with on leash and other off leash. There is a public toilet as well.
Lovely park with nice kids playground. Plenty of shade and lots of open space. BBQ facilities and benches with tables available. There is a part of the park where dogs can run around off the leash and a footy oval / cricket pitch and training nets
~ Nice enough to stop and have my lunch at a park bench ~
~ More of a sports oval than a traditional park ~ Dog friendly and quite a few walkers ~
I feel that I know this park like my very own back yard, given that I walk around it so often! Anyway, it is a very well 'stocked' park, catering for dog walkers, footballers, cricketers, playgrounds & much more. The Glen Eira council employed grounds staff are always present to maintain the quality of the ovals. The overhead lighting across each of the ovals is phenomenal, but rarely goes on, especially in the summertime.
Lovely long park with well kept green grassy areas as well as immaculate sports fields and sports stands. Awesome place for a run or walking your dog or even a BBQ while your kids play in the jungle gyms
Pleasant Park with grassy swards for sitting, picnic tables, mature trees, and all the sporting facilities you could want. Ample parking too.
It's a nice Park. Quite crowded at present, but it's got nice walking paths. Mainly a sports area with 2 large ovals and 2 smaller areas for soccer etc.
Princess park has a couple of great features;
There is a 24/7 dog off leash area with great walking paths (or kids scooter paths) about the size of 2-3 football ovals.
There is a highly maintained clean and shaded playground including basketball netball hoops and climbing area for bigger kids.
There's plenty of dog poo bags for free and bins everywhere, so pick up your s#$&
An ok park with decent options for kids to stay active. However the whole thing is dated, grass is patchy and not well kept. Falls short of expectation, considering how people talk about it. I'm talking about the picnic areas with rotundas.
A lovely and open planned park that looks like it reaches the needs of a diverse and active community
Good off leash area for dogs. Be careful to remain in the off leash area to avoid a local council officer being a jobsworth and telling you off
A very dog-friendly and family oriented park close to tennis courts and football fields. I’ve never had any problems here with my dog clashing with any of the other dogs here - big or small. Most people here are very responsible and unpretentious and friendly unlike Elsternwick Park which I found too rough for my small dog. Early in the morning here they also run family-oriented group personal training. It’s also somewhat popular to walk around too.
Green oasis, couple of ovals, great off leash area for dogs, lots of families enjoying the space every weekend
Large suburban park with many sports facilities, like tennis, football, cricket. Very popular with dog owners and has both on and off leash areas.
Great park for dogs. I've seen doggy play school there or something like it. Dark at night so wouldn't recommend walking alone
