Prince Bandroom reviews
26Really disappointed at the lack of concern about the safety and comfort of patrons at this venue. The lack of egress, barely any security (apart from around five out front I could see on exiting early), a clearly oversold night despite tickets still being available several hours prior.
Glamfest sounded great, had a friendly atmosphere, and was a great day out. Awesome place for more intimate gigs. Drinks a bit on the expensive side but to be expected in St Kilda. Will be back
Saw James Reyne and crew, place was packed, air-con not coping, sound mixing a shocker. Much better venues for live music elsewhere. Brunswick Ballroom etc.
Great food and coffee but really slow service. I waited 30 mins for a take away coffee and sandwich. Average 20 min wait for take away coffee every day. I am a local regular.
Seen some cool USA bands at this place Prince Bandroom venue has always been pretty cool to see some big acts for a local of Bayside st Kilda, iconic place lots of great memories here for sure.
The organization of the event was an absolute joke. The staff were unhelpful and it felt like a maze trying to find where we supposed to go. I haven't been here on a regular night but after that experience, I don't plan on it
Great venue, plenty of space if you don't want to be jammed in and the sound was excellent. Just watch out for all the teenagers trying to bum smoke from you outside
A fine enough dance floor, but more than willing to egress ""unsavoury"" types to maintain an image. If you have any self respect, I'd recommend staying away from this place
It could've been a memorable night but the scurity staff at the smoking room terribly ruined it. We'd been waiting in the queue and he let some newcomers to get in the smoking room. When I said we were ahead of them, he was too rude and said I'll kick you out if I want!
Except that guy the rest of the staff were friendly and the manager tried to convince us it was just a confusion and I do appreciate her effort.
Music not too loud, a bit strict on weird rules which is abnormal coming from the states, but overall a pleasurable experience
Melbourne pub rock institution
Great sound. Excellent visibility of the stage. All in bustling Fitzroy St.
Rockin spot.
Nice little venue for live music. Just a little to quite, they need a better sound system in place, but overall great for live music in St Kilda
This venue might just be my favorite in Melbourne. Weather performing or as a fan in the crowd. Every show Ive either been part of or attended as a fan has been nothing short of a grade. Really great setup, love the stage and layout. Good backstage area as well.
I'm showing my age here but it was great to see a band in a venue that was properly ventilated, with good bar staff, and plenty if water kept up
Went and saw Glass animals play here and they were amazing! Nice vibe and huge crowd. Staff were friendly, had a weird system with the door outside which was just stressful and unusual but none the less had fun.
Some awesome bands have played here over the years, had many great nights. Nice venue, good AV & lighting, friendly staff (bouncers too) floors aren't sticky and place is clean
I came here for an after show (after the listen out festival) to see Doja Cat. She came outside before the show and talked to the crowd/sang with the crowd from the balcony. Very intimate setting for the concert which I love. I could see her from all angles at 5”1 this is important to me.
A St Kilda institution, and hard not to see why. Captain Atom Man gives this place the thumbs up.
Overall venue and sound quality was good but pre 6pm $12 for a gin and tonic? In what world is that a fair price when tickets to the show were $60 a head?
Went to see infected mushroom which wood have been great except for it was so bloody packed it was like being in a can of sardines! Absolutely ruined wat should have been a wicked night was not even room to move let alone dance! Highly disgusted can’t believe they would ruin such a potentially good night just for a few extra bucks! Huge thumbs down prince bandroom SHAME ON YOUS
