Prahran Square reviews
9I love this place! It's beautiful and peaceful. Right in the middle of the hustle! Just behind Chapel Street.
The carpark under the square is a joke. Have the facility managers never heard of wayfinding? Tiny signs in infrequent locations, providing inadequate information to drive out.
A very enjoyable evening well done to all the performers and to the city of Stonington to provide their residence such a lovely and peaceful area
Incredible. All that money and no money left for signs to the toilets if you come from outside the square. A tiny sign on the wall only alerts you to it and only then if you’re almost outside the ramp. Obviously council employees too busy Tiktoking and virtual signalling every 5 minutes to every group they can think off to attend to the actual basics of all human needs. PS it takes a real brain to plant gum trees aka widow makers in a inner suburban park. Not only do these trees become incredibly massive in a very short time; they are incredible dangerous in high use areas in summer or high winds or rain as they drop branches and fall. Kudos - hope your liability insurance is paid up. And they are hopeless as shade trees. That’s what you get again when people use virtual signalling and misguided ‘oh it’s native’ without actually understanding what your doing as their guide when planning. Amateurs.
A beautiful public area that is divided into five distinct areas the Sensory gardens the terrace the southside lawn and the forest. Underneath is two levels of carpark which are free parking for the first 90 minutes and at the Lift you will find a public toilet and access to this wonderful open space. In addition you’ll find Woolworths and Coles with water fountains. Shade umbrellas and fixed table & chairs.
There is a small playground and lots of areas for the kids to rome around and enjoy.
Plenty of elevated areas with wheelchair access for mobility impaired to enjoy.
Overall an impressively well designed and functional area which is beautiful and appealing in its imaginative presentation. Great to explore or just to relax.
Been twice to this place which I think is fantastic. Great to sit and have a coffee, lunch or a chat. As a parent I always look for food, toilets, distance to parking and where I need to get to. All conveniently located.
Parking is very reasonably priced, toilets just inside the building right near the Prahran Square. 1min walk to Prahran market and Chapel St. Grab lunch from one of the many takeaway stores, Coles or Woolworths and sit back and relax.
During the week it was a beautiful sunny day that was bustling with people eating, chatting, reading. Umbrellas were up, plenty of chairs, lounge chairs and normal seating that can be used to lounge on. Water was bouncing from the floor.
Today was fresh and periods of rain. Not so busy but all the chairs were out. No shelter from rain or the wind. Still an amazing and beautiful place.
It's been completely landscaped really well. Plus they have a night lighting Olympic theme at moment. & surrounded by cafe's. It's a nice spot.
Prahran Square.a hidden spot for local people living in Melbourne. Very good place to visit.looks like a UK or an European town.a small community of different shops is formed.
Loved it, they've put care into the seating areas and the view of old and new Prahran is pleasing.
