Powlett Reserve Tennis Centre reviews
16Good quality courts that are well-maintained, easy to make and change bookings, casual check-in process, flexible change and cancellation process, and a solid mix of classes and open-for-hire slots.
We had such a great time! The owner of the tennis Centre let two of my colleagues organise a fundraising event and it was a great success. Our students had so much fun and we're happy to be part of the event. We learnt to play tennis, had watermelon and enjoyed the day at this amazing centre! Thank you!
Great location and good facilities. Friendly atmosphere and great social environment focusing on improving your game.
Really easy to book a court here and a great location. Friendly coaches and people who run the club, super helpful. Courts are a low nap artificial grass and quite sandy, which I like playing on as its somewhere between mod grass and clay.
Average courts friendly staff.this court is over priced.the court quality is not good.needs maintenance.
Nice place to just sit on the Park Bench or lie on the grass & relax on a nice sunny day.tennis courts @ eastern end of park has toilets but often you will find used syringes as people tend to use them as injecting rooms
Great club and friendly people. An excellent way to get back into tennis after a break or start playing tennis and be part of a very nice sporting community.
Great courts, run by a very accommodating, accessible and friendly man in Mat. Courts 1 and 2 are the best to book if available!
Community based courts run by Council
I have been only involved in Sat. Tennis
for children run by Hot Shots
Great central location with friendly and helpful staff. Facilities were exceptionally clean also - I'll be back!
Book court 1 or 2 for best experience - 3 to 5 have no dividing fences so lots of balls lost or gained in a session
Best place to play tennis in Melbourne. Very well kept facility with easy parking and friendly staff. Website is also fantastic - super easy to book courts.
This place feels a bit abandoned. Not really cleaned and hot showers out of order most of the time.
Having rid itself of former proprietors (who would occasionally sleep on-site), PRTC has gone from strength to strength. A clean, easily navigable website complements the well-maintained facilities, with the surrounding palm trees reminiscent of Sunset Boulevard. Perhaps the only downside is the eradication of the extra-wide baselines, of which the great Michael Chang would be most disappointed.
Dilapidated. As a visitor paid $38 per hour for a court with leaves and litter. The synthetic grass has a weird hollow bounce that makes me think it's been laid straight over some previous worn out surface. Not good value.
I didn't realise there are local courts so close to the city! Very pleased to find this little place, so much nicer than the monolithic Melbourne Park and free 2 hour parking nearby. Great website as well, easy to find the rates and to make bookings.
(p.s. I can't help but counter some of the bad reviewers - sozlol - courts seemed swept and facilities tidy)
