Potion Putt reviews
25 We had a delightful time at the mini golf business today. Despite a party of 9, the lone staff member managed all the customers with a friendly and welcoming attitude.
The course itself was enjoyable, with riddles to add to the fun, and a nice mix of challenges for everyone in the group. The theme and aesthetic of the place were impressive, reflecting the effort put into creating a great atmosphere. The cocktails, especially the "Ogre" cocktail, were a big hit with our group.highly recommend this mini golf business, and it's definitely a top choice compared to nearby competitors. Thank you for a wonderful experience!
I love the dragons out front- but the potion putt really only has a few holes these days. Was average previously but now it's pretty lame
I’m not sure why there are so many bad reviews. It almost put me off coming with my 5 year old son but he was so excited to go to a haunted themed mini golf so we gave it a go. It was really fun! The decorations are creative and it’s a great activity for kids for an hour of entertainment.
We were lucky to be given two tickets to come here for free, luckily because if I had to pay any money for this experience I would be extremely upset.
So many of the holes were broken, with a couple that weren't even playable. The last hole was one of them, and my partner nearly got hurt when a part of the course shifted underneath his feet. Additionally, even if the holes were all working properly they were effectively all the same hole. Every one involved hitting the ball up a ramp to then fall into a tube and into the area with the hole (but in reality getting stuck inside). It all felt cheap and low effort.
They did well with the atmosphere/decorations and the cocktails were nice, even though nearly half were unavailable. They also had curling which was included which ended up being the only enjoyable part, even though one of those broke on me too. The staff was very nice.
We had an okay time, but would definitely not pay any money to come here.
Checked out the “Alice Through the Looking Glass” pop up bar experience located at Potion Putt. It is an interactive experience with the staff doubling as characters.you get involved By Solving riddles to collect your “potions” and mix up your special drink. The room is decorated beautifully. Cocktails could be a touch stronger.but considering there’s only a donut up for grabs food wise.they may have JUST been strong enough. Worth checking out.you need to book through Hidden.
So good! Staff were very funny, only 9 holes but they were all so creative. My girlfriend wore a wizards cloke that staff jokingly told us was mandatory to play. We also solved the riddle on each hole which got us a prize at the end of the round. Cocktails were great too.
Terrible!
A lot of money just for 9 holes. 4 of them were broken leaving us to fish our balls out of the pipes and the final hole smelt like it had been on fire. When we questioned the staff about the condition of the course they just laughed at us.
I would recommend you go to glow golf located right next door and avoid this place at all costs.
Very poorly built and made. Only two of the ten holes were manageable but the rest were really not engineered properly.
Awful. Holes were either out of order or had something wrong with them. Scorecards looked out of date and out of order. They also changed the names of hole and didn’t update the scorecards. You pay $15 and get 9 hole. You can go next door, pay $12 and get 24 hole and a much better experience. Originally planned to stay and have drinks but we didn’t want to give them more money.
One of the worst experiences we have had.none of the holes worked, the staff were that unenthused that it made the whole experience really poor and would not suggest anyone goes here based on our experience
Pretty dodgy putt putt course, balls would regularly get stuck in the course or just be straight out broken which feels pretty weak for a place that has 9 holes. In one case we had to have someone lifting a pipe to get the ball through the hole. On a few others the ball would regularly leave the course because they haven’t fenced them off properly. We did enjoy the riddles at the start of each hole though.
Feels like you’d be better off playing in a homemade course in someone’s garage, but this was definitely an interesting experience.
2 holes were out of order and numerous things were broken.
Very poorly set up with simple, boring courses.
Dirty bar, tables, glasses, etc.
Not at all a ‘magical’ experience as expected.
The mini-golf is objectively terrible but the staff were friendly and my 4 year old had a good time
Waste of money and time, none of the courses were functioning, they charged us more money to book online and the so called 'prize' was a 5c lolly
We went as a family and our 4 year old son loved it. Putt putt potion was very family friendly with no large groups drinking. There is plenty of room between the holes so no crowding and most holes were easy enough to challenge our son who has recently started golf but difficult enough to challenge the adults.
Worst Putt Putt course I have ever seen or played. As everyone else has mentioned, course is very poorly designed, balls get stuck on most holes or like hole 4 they are impossible to actually get the ball to stop without rolling back to your feet. Don't waste your money, they weren't even organised enough to get our free prize at the end.
Fun place, it's not just about the mini golf, more about the fun and experience, drinks were great, so were the staff.
Very disappointing experience, do not waste your time. A few holes were broken and most of the rest were very very impossible to complete due to their absolutely terrible design. There was also no direction or markers at any of the holes which meant we spent a lot of time trying to work out what we were supposed to do, intensifying the already frustrating experience. The Melbourne venue looks NOTHING like the photos used for advertisement and all in all it was super underwhelming and at the end I just wanted to get the heck out of there. Do not recommend.
We had a reserve for 12, it didn’t open till 1: 45 the workers didn’t even know how to open the door when we got I. The staff didn’t even know what to do, probably weren’t even trained (then we realised the workers weren’t even the workers for the shop they were for the shop next door. The place had barley anything in it. Don’t waste your money on this #notslay
I feel for the staff, because I couldn't imagine how gutted the bus ride home would be, knowing how many corners the owners were cutting. Sixteen dollars a head for the combination of impossibly difficult holes, low quality & one-dimensional design, slow/understaffed/untrained service left me with a sick feeling in my stomach. Avoid at all costs.
