6I tried to make an appointment yesterday but it didn't work. The staff was Bad behaviour. Like this, I don't want to pay for sure.
DO NOT CALL THESE PEOPLE! They gave me terrible service- they did not call me back the same day I contacted them for Victims of Crime assistance as they said they would, instead I had to call back a week later to remind them about my call. Then the "Intake Officer" Kelly "matched" me with a psychologist WITHOUT EVEN ASKING ME WHAT MY SYMPTOMS WERE! When I mentioned this and told her that I was at the end of my tether, I was basically told "if you want our VoCAT assistance then you're just going to have to take what we give you"- I have PTSD and my interactions with this person and her company have left me very upset and angry. This business is a disgrace.
I was hesitant at first as I have trouble opening up. But I found this process helpful to unravel a lot of deep long-standing issues I have carried around for over 40 years and start addressing them. Ignore the negative comments here, as my personal experience is the staff at Oakleigh are very supportive and accommodating. Stick with it - you might need quite a few visits to open up and find a path, and go into it with an understanding it will require some effort and commitment on your side, but it can be life changing. Highly recommend.
I love the atmosphere, friendly and relaxing. They utilise CBT, mindfulness & positive psychology techniques. Homely feel inside. They moved recently into a vintage building near corner of Warrigal & Princes. Experienced psychologists there.
Had two appointments cancelled, and then when l went for the rebate, l was denied, even though l was assured l would recieve one.stay away.
