It was great working with Jenny and the staff of Portsea Village Resort! They were such great hosts! They accommodated and fulfilled our needs as a group. We had a fantastic team-building retreat, and it was rewarding! Highly recommended! Thanks heaps!:)
Highly recommend. Staff very caring and polite. Hotel dinner was very delicious definitely worth it to try too.
Where do I start? Accomodation was very nice, cosy and a great location near the water. Reception for the tv was shocking and couldn’t watch anything without it skipping every few seconds. Foxtel was advertised but didn’t work, no channels, apparently there was a problem with the antenna. The food at Portsea Village Resort Restaurant was absolutely shocking! We had our dinner booked for 6pm as recommended as we had our hot springs booked for 7.30pm, which was all booked through the hotel. We arrived at 5.40pm at the place they call “a restaurant” and sat down. My partner and I ordered a drink and it took over 20mins for our drinks to come out, this saying we were the only people in the restaurant. We finally got our drinks and the waitress said “hope it’s okay, we didn’t really know how to make the drink” but they had it on their menu. We then had to ask for table water as well as menus. 6pm came along and we ordered our meal. There was now 3 couples in the restaurant including ourselves and we were the first to order. Our meals didn’t come out until 6.45pm. We ordered two porter house steaks both medium. My partners steak came out well done and mine came out completely rare. We tried to eat as much as we could but the steak was too tough for my partner and mine was so rare. This is so ridiculous as I sent it back to the chef and my partner and I overheard his reply to the waitress which was “well he ate some of it! ” There was no apologies at all just attitude. For our dessert we ordered the lemon tart and it came out warm as if they had microwaved It was so soggy and unpleasant. I will never come back to this restaurant, it was actually so disgusting and we weren’t the only couples complaining about the food that night and the service. The photos they advertise and the product they deliver is nothing alike. Very disappointed.
