If you are after an ethical law firm, you may wish to consider the following situation before hiring Portelli & Co: Whilst my mother was being evaluated in the state's largest specialist hospital for the testing and treatment of dementia and related complaints, she was presented with new enduring and medical power of attorney forms to sign. Whilst in a dementia ward, whilst still undergoing psych testing. This confused, immobile old woman was presented with legal documents to sign, appointing a new legal and financial guardian over her affairs. A lawyer from this firm still had her sign anyway, conducting his own interview and concluding she was fine. Neuropsychology reports released a few days later confirmed she was not. At the time of writing, this issue is still ongoing. This is a true example of the 'professionalism and ethics' Portelli & Co will give to their clients. Caveat emptor.

Amazing. Guy Messina is the best. I have used him before in a previous matter over 10 years ago and now I was able to use him with my recent property settlement. Very happy with my settlement and he got an amazing outcome for me. He is gutsy when needed and also reserved when needed too. Very unprofessional I had given specific instructions to send to my ex. Not only did they not get their act together for the first couple of months after I had told them what I wanted done. Eventually they pulled their finger out and decided to send the letter to my ex.

My ex stated she had not received it when I was on talking terms with her.

The Portelli and Co Lawyers did not chase it up instead I had to chase them and they charged me an arm and a leg for perusing them.

It’s now May and I started this ordeal at Christmas and had given up on these clowns because every time time I contacted them they would charge me. So I waited for them to call me which they never did. Instead today I received an email saying they are closing my case and that I owe them even more money as they were “perusing my emails”.

I have been dealing with David from Portelli & Co and found he rarely take his calls or returns phone calls, make invalid notice of defaults, claims which have no legal grounds.

I have dealt with Portelli & Co with Guy Messina nearly 28 years ago and still to this day this many holds a spot dear to me. I had a very difficult custody battle held between two states as my ex was fighting me for custody of my two children. Guy was real, gutsy power pack and still to this day is.
