7 I had the unfortunate experience of meeting one of the sales reps at my local timber yard the other day, he promised me he would get a specific round handrail by the following Monday and would push the order through as it was to be a handrail for an elderly customer who was unable to use the stairs in her recently purchased home as it had no handrails.
The handrail didn't turn up, the rep wouldn't answer calls from the timber yard, and when he did, really couldn't care less. The handrail turned up mid morning of the install date but couldn't be used as the customer went elswhere.
I'm a small business that trys to support local, never ever again will I or my collegues use Porta again.
Nothing short of discusting service all round.
How about putting on the head of their website that they're WHOLESALE ONLY.
Waste of my time, should bill them.
And to those that complain about the quality of their products, this is where their profits go.
Sent two e-mail enquiries a week apart with no response.
Had to ring them.they didn't care, weren't interested in trying to help.
Spent $1k on cladding and 30% of timbers were defective. Wood splits, chips, dents, face burn marks etc. Won't see that in any of the online photos.
Went back to Mitre 10 multiple times to put it claim after claim only to continually receive bad timbers. Clearly no QA process. Will choose a different supplier next time.
If you want a headache and a long wait head to Porta Mouldings it’s guaranteed
Sent an email to get a quote. Waited for 2 days no response. I had to ring, and I was told quotes take 24 - 48 hours. I asked if I can get the quote on the phone now, and I was told no.has to be by emails. Very poor response from customer service. Hope management is reading this
If I could I would give MINUS 5 STAR. I have an order with this company (through Bunnings Port Melbourne) since the beginning of January / 2021. There is no communication, they do not say where the order is and do not give a damn if you have been waiting a long time or not. My recommendation is: FLEE FROM THIS COMPANY.
