PORT FAIRY GOLF CLUB reviews
20 Gorgeous course that overlooks the ocean - glad we made a pit stop while doing the Great Ocean Road. Highly recommend.
Strong winds but that challenged us to switch up our game
What a unique place. It has the power to transport you to north Europe, not just because its magnificent golf course and vistas but its friendly members.
Club Captain not just share his wisdom on how to play the challenging course under windy conditions: Keep it Left at all cost; but also took a very picturesque picture of us.
My favorite, the 18th hole what a Monster par 5, it even has its own Swilcan Bridge.
Awesome place, Anthony and Steve in the shop are great. Couldn’t recommend this place more, must check it out if your in Port Fairy
The best golf club with a public access for all Golf lover should play when they are in Melbourne, specifically when visiting Great Ocean road. The online booking was very easy and we were welcomed very well by staff at the pro shop. I love every single hole in the course.especially on the back 9, You will fall in love with the 12th, till the 16th. Make sure you enjoy that particular holes. I met a couple from local area and they are very nice showed me several unique spot on the course. Five stars golf class
Love this track. Some of the very best views while playing golf. Greens magnificent.highly recommended.
Great links course. Brutal winds all year round but well-kept fairways, occasionally forgiving rough, and couple of very spectacular holes with the layout. Very reasonable guest green fees. Verges onto greens were great conditions and greens were great condition. Course very muddy on the flat holes mid June, but to be expected and preferred lies were in use
If you’re in Port Fairy and you play golf, you gotta make time and play 18 holes here. Simply beautiful and right next to the water. So relaxing! Check out when competition days are and try to avoid them so that you can get a smoother run on the course. Staff are friendly and helpful too so great experience!
Mills Reef is always a nice revisit. The beach strolls are gorgeous and not a luxury or privilege, but ; a lifestyle choice and pretty familiar one for myself in so far as; wouldn't be defining a normal recreational activity as living the dream.
Amazing golf course. Craig was very accommodating playing with kids. Great value. We will be back.
If you play golf, no matter how badly, you have to play a round on a true links course. It will be the most exhilarating yet terrifying golf experience you will have. A bucket list must do!
Absolutely fabulous course - layout, condition of fairways and greens A1.
Very friendly and helpful staff.
Will be back ASAP.
And great value at $49 for 18.
Its a great course to play. Great view's. It's a great challenge even more when the wind is up.
Great course, great value, with about 6 holes on top of the dunes/water front with great views. The other holes are good but get a bit “cow paddock” during winter with soft fairways my ball kept getting plugged and covered in mud. The greens are PURE so good to putt on and fast! But as a result are generally flat and have little movement.
Will definitely come back in summer
Loved this course, got to play it when the wind wasn't blowing too much, good crack with the head greenkeeper, will be back
My husband and son were so keen to play this course. Even though the weather wasnt the best. The man in charge didnt even want to acknowledge my husband. Rude and arrogant. Good manners cost nothing. Went to warrnambool golf course and they couldnt have been more welcoming. So sad
Wow, what a course, so challenging and beautiful vistas. If you're in the area you simply MUST play a round.
A challenging links course particulary in windy conditions.good all year round playing surface.great ocean views from many holes.visitors always welcome.excellent pro shop and bar lounge facilities
As a visitor to Port Fairy and a keen golfer after viewing the course went into Club to enquire cost etc and availability for my 5 mates and l to have a game over our 4 day visit in Port Fairy. The customer service was appalling to say the least. The man was rather rude far from obliging at all very arrogant manner indeed Obviously visitors are not welcome to play on this course.
Very Scotish/Irish links style course. Staff in the pro-shop was very friendly and attentive. The course itself? It boats some of the finest golf holes in Australia along the coast. 12-16 are just stunning, along the coast, wonderful fairways and very nice greens and bunkering. It's not too difficult w/o wind but it's a real challenge with it. We just went there to play some 9 holes and we were thrilled of it. It's natural and old design makes it different to the modern designs. It's feels like a good old friend everyone enjoys meeting.
I was actually at Killarney beach which is right near the golf course. We did drive past the course and it looks like it's in a great location.
