Port Campbell National Park reviews
41 Great viewing infrastructure.
Park facility closed at the time, unfortunately.
Weather was equally unco-operative, regrettably.
Brilliant attraction, must visit when in Melbourne.
Some tips:
- check the weather before you go - sunny days are best
- dress warm, it can be windy and chilly
- try to get there early for the best photo opportunities. The best spots get busy over the day
- the helicopter rides are not cheap but well worth the money - the best views are during sunset (yes this contradicts the point above but gives you another option)
Between Victorian Lockdown #5 and #6 was the first time I'd driven along the Ocean Road without there being a single car since I was 18. I'm now 59.
The information in written in a few languages which is amazing. I would also like to commend the board walk and easy access car park. The view and kiosk is amazing.
The upgrades make it even better!
Glorious in any weather, the wildness of the waves scaling the cliffs and the sea spray and foam spraying onto the the paths above, definitely worthy of its title "the shipwreck coast".
This is the place to park up and set as your main stop to see all the wonderful and amazing sites on the great ocean road. The information desk are located near the car park.
The twelve apostles are located very close by and the Gibson stairs are a walking distance away.
Best time to capture nature at its best. Visiting 12 apostles during sunset time gives you all peace and forever love for nature.
It's a long drive to get here but given the Apostles are disappearing, it's worth it! I was told to get there for sunrise or sunset and sunset didn't disappoint! Also got to see an echidna up close, & we love echidna! So glad we got to enjoy this WITHOUT the tourist buses, which I've heard are a deterrent.hence, it took us 11yrs to visit!
An unexpected natural harbour on this long forbidding coast. A small community sheltered beneath the cliffs. Highly picturesque. Remote. Well provided with small hotels and restaurants. A touch of alternative lifestyle. We got there from Warrnambool in the teeth of an icy gale.
This was great so we hired the chopper to go down to the light house and back up to the grouto our captain was really really good
Grey place to see the 12 Apostles, well maintained walkways which is easily accessible leads to fantastic views.
Beautiful scenery. Major attractions well sign posted. Hint, always take the extra steps. Often that is where the real beauty can be found.
Every time I come here I always get amazed by this beauty of nature. Calmness in the loud waves, one can sit there and enjoy for hours.
Nature at her most magnificent. Truely stunning views in every direction. A network of wheelchair accessible ramps and paths allow visitors every opportunity to see along the coast. Thank you.
Loved it! The twelve Apostles was jaw dropping! I could not believe what I was witnessing. It felt super magical!)
Plenty of parking and signage. Couple of chairs. Nice easy walk. Take an umbrella. Weather changes quickly
No drones.
Keep coming there every year. Whatever we decide to do - making a part of GOW for half a day, fishing near Princetown, lazy sun bathing - all is awesome and kept in memory for a long time.
Must go and vist the place but make sure the weather is nice and warm so will be be able to spend sometime on the cliff watching the 12 apostles.
Y ou also have the helicopter ride which I find it personally expensive but sends if you really want to do it.
The road along the ocean side is good and make sure you do it during the day time as the roads are windy.
If you really want to have unforgettable memories, this is a place that you definitely don’t want to miss. They offer you heaps of lookouts and landscapes that will leave you inevitably impressed.
