The best location, Good service. Good kids play area and water activities. The river walking trail is really nice.

I recently stayed in the vila that sleeps ten, and it was everything we expected plus more.
James and Sandy were very accomodating hosts, they knew there was a lot of us and even offered for us to use the camp site amenities as the vila only had one bathroom.

Upon leaving I forgot my sunglasses, James and Sandy personally delivered them to me in Tasmania!

Thanks very much James and Sandy, could not recommend your hospitality anymore!

Needed somewhere to lay my head for a night and this park was great, the amenities were pristine and the people were brilliant will definitely be back.

Lovely little caravan park, nice friendly people, for my family next time I would go with a deluxe cabin just so we would have a proper oven/cook top, because we had a smaller cabin, which meant we had only a cook top.but everything else was great!

We stayed at Porepunkah Pines Holiday Park over Easter and absolutely loved it! The park is completely flat so it is easy to put your camper/caravan on its site and the kids can ride their bike around easily. The amenities were fantastic, the showers heavenly and they even provide washing up liquid, clothes and tea towels for guests to use. The family are fantastic and so helpful when we needed to borrow a hose fitting to hook up our camper. We will definitely be back!

We’ve been coming here for 14 years and we’ve continued to come because the park has improved dramatically. The park is green and lush with beautiful trees. The park managers Sandy and James are extremely helpful, easy to deal with and keep the park in an excellent condition. The cleaners continue to do an amazing job and it has the best pool around. We will continue to come for many more years.

A great affordable place to stay for our U3a Ballarat Cycling Group based there for 1 week. Amenities & BBG are A1

The new owners are terrible. Eviction of all their permanent residents without much notice and no compensation at all. People have been attending the park for 30+ years every year and told to get out in under 3 months. Absolute joke.

Can’t say this place is really bad but can’t say really good either.

Cabins are not what you see in the photos. Those are really tiny. Good for couples or small families. Surrounding is good with the river.

Stayed at the park with a group of friends over three nights (probably 30 people with kids), and it was an actions packed adventure. The park is quiet, you can hear the river running, the grounds are really well kept, the trees are magnificent and the pool would have to be the best pool in the area. Couldn't get the kids off the slide and there was also a toddlers pool. We were all surprised at how clean the amenities were. Yes they were a bit older, but really well kept. The Punka Pub was sampled and can recommend and only a 3min drive into Bright. The fellas did some 4wding around Mt Buffalo with the kids to earn some brownie points with the Mums! Was a great weekend. We'll be back

Nasty management & dangerous grounds - our whole family got attacked by a swarm of wasps by the river at this place (my little brother got over 30 stings on his back and shoulders alone!) and when we told the owner he laughed. Absolutely disgusting! Rude and belittling to all guests too as per earlier reviews - they stalk the park to make sure you’re in your cabin or caravan being silent by 10pm flat. We used to come here every year for 25 years and this is our last visit!

Do not stay at this park. If your sitting out side your own van having a drink after 10 pm not making any noise your asked to go inside your can and go to sleep.really this park is the worst place we stayed at in past 30 years … they love to belittle people and treat everyone as low life’s

Have to say this is not the park to stay at as a small family group. Best to book in as seperate entities as the they stalk/patrol you at night time requesting you go to bed at 10pm and every 20mins after that. All persons still sitting outside their accommodation at 10pm as single campers were left alone, however our circle chatting away in the dark "keeping noise to a minimum" as per park guidelines were harassed aggressively by the staff to shut it down and get to bed on the first night. We certainly were not overdoing anything as we had children that needed to remain asleep. The second night was more respectful towards us with them again reminding us it was 10pm and ensuring we would not go to all hours! As opposed to telling us to go to bed!
Aside from this, the park is a beautiful setting and a lovely place for kids to play and swim either in the river or the pool. The amenities block could do with some soft close doors as during the evening with people coming and going it sounded like someone was continually getting thrown through the walls whilst trying to get little ones to sleep. The booking in system needs some work and the sites could do with some revamping to identify them better. Also note that although the cockys can rampage before 6am, you are not to make any noise before 7.30am, so realistically, its not a park for families or kids in vans. It's a shame that a highly anticipated weekend of adventure and catching up with family was marred by this Parks need to control and maintain its 10pm curfew and no noise.

Definitely only book if travelling as couple/small family.
Strict 10pm lights out curfew, even though policy states noise to be kept to a minimum from 10pm.
If early riser also not recommended as noise curfew remains in place until 7.30am.
Can see mould in toilet/shower facilities.
Very small sites also.

Other than that, great park for kids, with pool/splash park, rec building and playground. Gorgeous creek at edge of park also.

Great place to stay in the Bright and surrounding area. The new owners (James and Sandy) are great and the park continues to be well run.
Being right on the banks of the Oven River is also a massive tick!

A great little place to stay. 5 minutes drive your in the middle of Bright, 6 minute walk your in the middle of porepunkah. This park had everything we needed and more in a caravan park. The hosts who are only new to the area themselves had a vast knowledge of the area and all things happening (nacho and margarita arvo at the Porepunkah cafe was a great recomendation)
Will def be going back again
