19A little step back in time, boutique toy shop (Lygon st Carlton) Poppies doesn't only stock toys. Specialty soaps, candles, jewellery, perfumes and quirky nic nacs and gift cards are only part of the sweet experience. Definitely pop in when you want that something special for someone special.
It is such a joy to visit, i always walk out with a trinket i don’t need but its well worth it great gift options for all ages & huge range of birthday cards which i love
While strolling through Lygon street I spotted this hidden gem. A small space but atmosphere is so welcoming and magical. Friendly staff.
Beautiful little toy shop that is as I remember from my childhood. Prices match the location but it really is magical
Love the store but staff just stare/glare while you're there so I don't visit anymore.great toys though
This place is a staple of Carlton, really friendly and helpful service, beautiful quality gifts, and a cornerstone of the community. I could spend hours here!
The 2 women who work there are really rude and I always feel so uncomfortable when I visit! Also way too pricey
Went for a particular lolly. Have been there 4 times. Lady was not very helpful. As to when the item would arrive at the shop.
A dizzying array of now "vintage" style toys which might be quirky for kids these days - but a fun throwback for the parents of that heritage. Could spend hours here gift shopping. Very cool.
A store full of great little treasures, anyone can find something they want here.friendly staff.
Behind a very modest facade is this absolute gem of a store. I simply can’t imagine a better place to buy toys that are not the usual see-everywhere type and brands. Owner Lisa has carefully curated a comprehensive and fabulous range of great toys, games etc. There is so much here to choose from, you will not leave empty handed. Caring and knowledgeable service. Great store.
Really good range of toys, beautiful cards and gifts - definitely not just for children. Definitely worth a visit.
This is the perfect shop for gifts but particularly for children. It's always full of great choices and customers. Don't arrive with large bags - you won't fit down the aisles.
Wonderful service and so close to Christmas- staff really are amazing. Such a great range in a little store! Love the wooden pram we purchased!
I shop here almost exclusively for presents. Great range of interesting gifts for all ages and personalities, massive selection of cards is a huge bonus too. Rotating stock too so always surprised by new arrivals
Bought ‘The Block Monopoly’ today as well as a couple of tin toys. What a fantastic little shop run by a very helpful and approachable owner and staff. Couldn’t do enough! Cheers for the great service!
Loooove this shop, I buy most of my gifts here, especially for kids. So many unique and beautiful things here and the staff are always lovely.
Just purchased a Siku car from here for my son. In NZ they’re about $8-9 so was expecting similar. Go to buy it $10.95. Then I see the price tag of $8.95 on box. Ripped off by owner. Unreal. Go elsewhere.
