Beautiful ground! Great place for cricket in the Summer and they also run a great Touch Aussie Rules comp on a Tuesday night through Spring and summer.
Poplar oval is a nice suburban sports oval featuring a gorgeous little clubhouse and a concrete and astroturf wicket. Parking is a bit of a pain but there's plenty on the street only a short walk away. Aussie Rules 7s is played here on weeknights in summer along with cricket on the weekends.
Good ground but too close to the train tracks. Had to fetch the ball grom traib tracks 5-6 times. Other than that the facilitoes are good
Conveniently located close to public transport and major roads, this oval is popular and well used.
Great place to take the dog, especially during winter as it doesn't get too muddy. Negatives are it's not lit at night and will quite often have soccer on some times
