Politix - DFO Essendon

Sunday 24/12/2023.went in shopping for an outfit and the two employees completely ignored me.i can understand that sometimes in a busy store i cant always expect service.however the store was completely empty other than myself and the 2 workers, who were standing behind the counter chatting with each other.i felt like i was interrupting them when i went to ask for assistance finding an item.received no greeting, no smiles, nothing.very strange because most storepersons will atleast say a quick hello or a smile.the guy seemed very rushed to get back to his conversation with his coworker upon helping me and the woman behind the counter seemed annoyed that she had to bag the items i just purchased.almost unbelievable i thought it may have been some sort of social experiment but reading the other reviews here it seems to be a common trend at this politix branch.would not recommend to anyone.please take your money and business elsewhere

Not a good experience at this store. After having such issues getting the item I was after online (which still hasn't even been dispatched, I headed to Essendon DFO, 3 team members working on the floor, 2 were putting away stock and doing their best to not acknowledge myself or the 4/5 other people shopping through the store and someone at the counter stuck on their mobile phone (which from what I could gather was in fact for work purposes). Once I finally found what I was looking for in the size I was after and the person who was at the counter was helpful enough and nice enough, but nobody really seemed to be at all interested in assisting anyone.

I totally get that businesses now more than ever try and squeeze as much labour out of as little as possible but it really does hamper the in-store experience.

My husband and I came in looking for an outfit for a ball. Jess was extremely helpful, took her time to help us find something he might like, gave excellent suggestions (saved him from wearing a white turtle neck ‍️) & even offered to help distract our 15mo son with Cocomelon while we looked around the store. Thanks Jess!

What an amazing service by Mariane from Essendon store, she totally understood my need of a size replacement and saved me a trip to city. I was impressed by service and she difinitely deserves a raise. 100% we need more people like her.

Jess was extremely helpful and gave excellent advice. She was patient and was always looking at what else can be offered to complete the outfit.

The 3 staff were busy gossiping the whole time we were there. Resorted to trying on suit jackets in the isle as staff couldn't be bothered to tell us where change rooms were. Staff also acted like they were above us. I would never like to go back to this store.

Very poor customer service and very less collection. Try to go to chadstone Politix or any other politix which treats the customers really good.

Marianne was absolutely fantastic, very knowledgeable, friendly and not pushy! Great salesperson who knows her stuff!

Literally just walked out 10 minutes ago - the staff member on hand (Marianne, according to my receipt) was fantastic and efficient.
I normally avoid suits but had to get one this time and she made it as stressless as possible with her knowledge and excellent service.
Prices were exceptionally fair too.
Definitely going back when I need more formal attire!

Today 31st of December I went to dfo politix. The service I had was terrible. I asked the sales girl about the jacket can you give me discount the same jacket I got it in chadstone shopping centre size m the sales man has offered me discount.if you could give me some discount that would be great. Dfo politix sales girl She rudely said if you got discount why don’t you go to chadstone why you here? I explained her I need the side XL that’s why I didn’t buy from there. Again She rapidly told me if you got discount why don’t you go to chadstone. Unbelievable if you can’t give discount say it. Don’t bloody suggest me what I have to do? Good luck to the boss who have this kind of employee who give this kind of customer service.

No one can fault the product! On the Friday dark haired CSO was very chatty and helpful and I purchased. The next day with 3 CSOs no greeting and no asking if we needed help. Made purchases due to quality and style of clothes!

The worst customer service ever! Did not greet customers. 2 retail “assistants” stood there talking while we needed help buying 4 suits.
We came on Sunday 13/01/2019. USED to be my favorite brand.
To be fair they probably think we can’t afford it? Not sure

What an amazing store for mens clothing. I think they have such a great range of products that you couldn't walk out of the store without buying anything.
I bought couple of shirts and they are awesome. I get lot of compliments bcoz of those.
Customer service was great.
If you want quality products which are different feom most of other shops then this is the place to go.

Staff were absolutely lovely, the clothing is a bit expensive but there are a few products that politix have that are absolutely amazing and hard to find elsewhere.

It's far more important for most of their staff to be chatting about their personal lives than helping any customers. Only 1 of of 3-4 staff even came near us over 45 minutes, and we had to ride them like a pony to get help.
