Point Lonsdale Front Beach Playground & BBQ reviews
11Great place for a family to enjoy a picnic. Love the traditional playground for kids with a boat theme. Plenty of tables and chairs to sit under shady trees or in the sun. Beautiful views of the water along the pathways to sit and enjoy lunch etc.and watch the ships coming in and out to sea. Toilets are in the need of upgrading due to the constant amount of people using them especially for families. Have been there many times, and love it.
As far as a beach goes it has what you would desire, sand, water etc. However one day we went there and the water was a long way away and we played catch on the sand and had a great time. The next day there was no sand and the water was very close, we couldn’t sit on the beach and ended up drinking Prosecco on the bike path on a broken camp chair with kids screaming at us! I may return however they have to do something about the water level!
Nice area, was good to be able to watch the boat from tassie go past.
Only thing we didn't like was the muddy sand that stuck all over you & your clothes
One of the better beaches and facilities around, toilets, showers, gym, and the beautiful beach.
Kids enjoyed playing here on some great playground equipment whilst I enjoyed a coffee and the view of the sea. Toilets are a bit rank though.
Well I live here so I'm biased.a beautiful spot with a glorious view of the rip and Point Nepean. Great beach at low tide for kids. Super clean water fresh from Bass Strait. It's the best.
Small rock pools and boulders give the beach nice character. Quiet with little traffic, so enjoy the sound of the waves. A lovely walk to the lighthouse, with good look outs along the way. Highly recommended!
Quite windy along the foreshore, take a cardigan, but a sunny day. Happy friends together.
Calm relaxing beach
Soft sand
Clear & clean water
Not wavy
Would recommend for snorkelling as there is a bit of marine life to explore!
Great BBQ under cover with large tables to suit bigger groups
All on the edge if the beach where you can watch passing ships
Okay, I am going to let you in on a genuine fact, it can be our little secret - this is actually the best beach across all of Geelong, The Bellarine and the Surf Coast. The water is perfect for swimming, surfing, paddle boarding, and kids. The sand is perfect. It's perfect for families. And it doesn't get too busy, even on a hot summers school holiday day, it's still quiet enough to be relaxing and to have space to yourselves.
