Nice and tidy place including all the equipment and stuff the kids like to play with, there’s also a bubbler and located close to a public toilet.

Nice playground, but the waterplay area is not on, so it's just a place that is too hot to use in summer. Strange because Victoria has had the wettest year ever and all water storages are full

Used to love this place for the kids, but it has become infested with mice/rats. They are confident and come running out of the bushes, squealing and fighting each other.

Would be a very nice spot. It is unfortunate that it seems to be completely inundated with rats. (Counted dozens of them by bright daylight.) Rats + kids + water = not a good combo.

My 2.5 year old boy loved it, did all the water play and just had a ball.places for parents to sit and cafes around to get coffee. Parking probably difficult at times.

Had heard great things about this playground. It is a fab location, right next to the beach, great facilities, big water play area, lots of shade and enclosed which is ideal. This morning however, there were a lot of rats running around. Across the sand and near the play equipment. It was our first time here.

Actually only went here to use the tables to eat fish n chips. Was too scared to try the swings because of reasons

This memorial playground is located on prominent Beaconsfield Parade in Albert Park, right on the Albert Park foreshore so as well as having a variety of kids playgound equipment, including slides, swings, play sand and water fountains, it offers great waterfront views.

Also, as well as being well maintained, unlike other nearby playgrounds such as the Maritime Cove Community Park playground and the Westport Reserve Playground in Port Melbourne, the beauty of the Plum Garland playground is that it is fully fenced and has both shade sails and large shade umbrellas over it which is essential to protect young kids playing in the playground on hot sunny days. It also has a drinking fountain, picnic table, bench seats and public toilets and kiosk serving ice-cream just 100 meters or a 5 minutes walk away at the South Melbourne Life Saving Club.

Parking is available along both sides of Beaconsfield parade but I'd recommend the unmetered parking on the side opposite to the foreshore for shorter stays and then take the nearby pedestrian crossing across to the playground.

Trust me great for Kids.
They forget everything. I often visit here with my sister and she loves to be here as well. Kids are always busy playing and we can have some talks around beach.
Loved it

Our favourite beach/playground combo in Melbourne! As a family of 5, soon to be 6, finding somewhere that everyone loves isn't always the easiest task, but all of us love it!
Lifeguards at the beach. Playground fenced with little water play features, sand, slides, swings, etc. We spend hours and hours between the playground and the beach itself, none of us ever want to leave!

Great gated playground with beach right in front of it. Pay $13 for maximum parking time, and you can spend time in the playground and then the beach. It has ample toilets and nets for beach volleys are ready.

Nice playground for young ones (a 7yo will not be challened), all fenced. Near the beach, shady and bushy despite the small size. Tables and water tap inside the playground.

Fantastic shaded water play and modern equipment. Needs a flat area with shade to put babies down.

Very good garden for kids, filmon with masti and fun. Plenty of things for kids to do. Water area, slides, swing, sand, roller, big swing small Swing, big slide and small slides.

Exactly very very close to beach, can sit and relax and watch on to beach. Good place for kids and adults to relax and for kids to play.
Highly recommended place to go

This playground is relaxing for parents as you can take your shoes off, walk in the sand and it's enclosed. The water fountains are a hit and great Ice-Cream shop "Jocks" a few minute walk down Victoria Avenue. Great in Summer
