Plated cafe restaurant bar

I just got served a delicious Calamari salad, by friendly efficient staff, in a lovely place with a nice view - what's not to love about that? I also had an iced coffee with the PERFECT level of sweetnicity (yes, Dingus, it is actually a word now).
Plan a lunch there some time if you feel like being kind to yourself.

Came all the way from Deer Park to enjoy the beach in this beautiful town. Thought we'd have lunch here. The menu is straight forward and reasonably priced. I had the open lamb souvlaki and my husband had the vege burger. It was a delicious meal. My husband said it was the best burger his ever had. We had to Come back the next day. I had the calamari salad. Again it was delicious. The broccoli, capsicum and salad were to die for. Fresh and cooked well. Husband had to have the burger again. Definitely will come back more. The service was very friendly and fast. The atmosphere very relaxing and right by the beach

Expensive for fish and chips. Flat head was really good. Not much of it… Need to get the basics right though. For fish and chips in Point Lonsdale go to Lonnie next door. 50% cheaper and better chips!

The curry on the other hand is great. So is the calamari salad. This place would rock the show if it stuck to Indian food. You can also buy the Indian food packaged next door at the IGA.

I hope there isn’t a cheesy thank you here as I found them to be unfriendly in real life. Real food 5 stars. Fusion fish and chips effort loses my rating by 2.

This is a great place with great service. We go there most days. The food is generally very good but unfortunately the bread is really ordinary. I’d bump my rating to 5* if they just offered a good quality sourdough bread. Id happily pay a bit extra if this was an option.

Wow! Just enjoyed a calamari salad here for lunch and it was magnificent. Got to come here more often. Lovely position near sea and beach. Good parking, especially in winter. Gorgeous little village atmosphere.

Fantastic place to have breakfast. Eggs Benedict was on point. Great service and friendly staff. Highly recommended.

If you like passive aggressive behaviour strap in for a dining experience at this stunning seaside Cafe. A friend and I attended this Cafe yesterday morning during a busy time. We cleared our table and I returned a table number 18 when ordering my food. My friend followed after, stating table 18. My food was amazing and I do recommend the chai latte! My friends however, not so much. Around 15 minutes had passed and I went to check on her iced latte, I was curious. I saw one sitting on the bench and waited in the long line. During this wait I witnessed the docket being scrunched up and discarded leaving the iced latte solo. I thought maybe some confusion, assumed they would sort it and returned to the table. Awhile later I was back in line. When I told the lady I didn't like to complain she was lovely! She did offer to re make it and advised it was on a different docket and that someone did walk around and couldn't find us. She said the food would be out in three mins they would make it now. She also offered to make the food take away. We found it interesting the food has not been made, however likely that the docket being discarded may have caused this. Either way it was rectified, we took the existing iced latte and moved on. So we thought. The food came out. Now I consider my friend and I to be both down to earth, understanding and quite efficient. My friend did say table 18. On the plate, touching my friends food, low and behold was the delightful crumpled or should I say uncrumpled docket. I would like to add here that I am not in the hospitality industry so here is my humble feedback. A. Given the name of the Cafe I do not think plating up a clearly unscrunched table docket is a feature. B. Likely not hygienic after being sat at the bar, scrunched and gone to whichever surface, removed and plated. C. It was an assault on the eyeballs. D. Completely unnecessary and clearly to prove a point with regards to the table number. I personally in my own kitchen or as an employee would refrain from adding such a delicacy to someone's meal. Perhaps next time rather than leaving the plate and saying "there you go" this could be an example of some communication, (including if they would still like to blame the customer) "Hello there, we have discovered the docket number said table 5, not 18. Perhaps some confusion at either end". Overall a beautiful place to eat, just order your docket fresh and on the side. Disclaimer 1. Ken did not serve me or I would have rubbed that out. 2. My four year old niece painted my nails.

Coffee was good, however the food was awful. The lamb was cold and not fresh, the chips were gross and safe to say we could’ve made better food at home.

Fisherman Basket Very Average supposed to have scallops? There was none. Fish and ships next door is the place to go, sadly it was closed on that day

Awful service, staff incredibly rude, an error was made on their behalf noting the wrong table number for my order and instead of them apologising for the mistake I received an eye roll from the young girl working. Order was then plonked down in front of me with. Coffee was terrible and food albeit late was edible but would not recommend this cafe when there are many options on the same street.

Just had the barramundi burger and it was absolutely awesome! So tasty, fresh, crunchy and the chips were great too.

I have been a regular customer for last 3 years and never once has this place disappointed, Food has always been amazing and service is always great!

The staff are usually very friendly, the service is good, and the coffee is amazing! Love thier caramel lattes, we come here regularly. Thank you!

Food is served hot and fast… very good cappuccino and latte was good too.

The food was good and staff were wonderful. Lisa even helped look after 1 of my kids whilst i took the other to the toilets across the road. So helpful and nice. Thank you

Went there early for breakfast one morning. Friendly staff and the egg and bacon roll was absolutely great. Well made coffee topped off the experience. Quick and friendly. It's nice to see some places still value friendly and quick service. When I'm down there again I will be back.

The food is generally good and the service friendly. The tables and chairs are comfortable. A special factor to remember is that Plated is fully licensed. The main downer for me was the coffee tasting burnt. Yes, I do recommend going there.

Unmissable experience when you come to Point Lonsdale, look out for the Thursday night tequila shots.

Food was good, expensive for what you for though. My partner ordered the pancakes and they honestly were so small he finished off our toddlers meal cause he was still so hungry. Also all the water glasses were still dirty and nor cleaned properly. Such a shame as this place looked lovely and food was nice just left us lacking something.
