Amazing company and I thoroughly recommend their work to anyone who needs poly repair or welding for any poly material! After having the chines to my Polycraft fitted by another company who messed it up…. Jeremy was able to diagnose the problems immediately and determine a solution expertly carried out! Honest old fashioned service and reliability and I cannot recommend them enough! Jeremy is a top bloke!

Ordered 1.75mm filament was immediately concerned when it wasn't cryovaced or sealed in some way from moisture. And sure enough I'm having issues printing with this filament while swapping to an old filament the same prints are fine.

Have tried various Australia made filaments (and a few overseas ones) and have to say that Plasgroup offer the best one. I print in PLA and have noticed that Plasgroup filament has a much better shelf life, stays sturdy for much longer and somehow manages to absorb less moisture from the air when compared to other brands. For example, with Plasgroup filament I can just leave it plugged into the printer for months and not worry about the filament becoming bad, where as with other brands leaving them exposed to the same environment for more than a week will make them way more brittle and much harder to work with.

The tolerances of their filament is really good too, here is some measurements for their yellow PLA at various points/angles:
1.75,1.69,1.73,1.70,1.73,1.73,1.73,1.71,1.70,1.69,1.70,1.71,1.73,1.70,1.74,1.71,1.71,1.74,1.72,1.73
MAX 1.75mm
AVERAGE 1.7175mm
MIN 1.69mm

Overall it’s surprising how much performance you get with this filament given how little you pay for it. And if you do have problems the customer service is fantastic, just give them a call and they will sort you out asap.
