Pizza Forno Donvale reviews

Absolutely disgraceful
5 x pizzas
Overpriced
NOT COOKED
Having been a customer for yrs.over the last few yrs, it's been pizza only. So when we went there on 8 Dec, and ordered pasta dished, they were disappointing. No flavour, so much cream in the spaghetti alla funghi, it was like a soup. My penne amatricciana was napoli sauce and no flavour. Sad to see the quality deteriorate.
I witnessed a chef take a chair away from a delivery driver to provide for a seated customer even though there were numerous spare chair around the restaurant, it appeared as very disrespectful and I will avoid eating here in future because I don’t want to be treated in this manner. I do not know this chefs name, but I view him as the reason I am uncomfortable with eating at this restaurant
Fettucine Carbonara - over cooked pasta and drowned in cream. Certainly not authentic, doubt there was any egg in the sauce. Bland.
Pesto Tortellini - too much cream, pesto was bland.
Entrees size serves were quite large, but it was just average tasting that no one could finish it.
Worst pizza ever.no fresh parmesean cheese or rocket.pizza was left outside on a dirty bench instead of driver ringing the bell.most unhygienic.called restaurant but they said too bad as I ordered thru menu log! Read below reviews b4 ordering
Went there for Nutella pizzas which were good! Friendly staff and plenty of seating including booths available
Pastas are awesome
Pizzas are great
The garlic breads are delicious
Tomorrow is Parma day so I'm gonna try it.
They had a food truck at the Waterfront Festival and ran out of all pizzas apart from margarita & vegetarian by 6: 30pm. How about telling people at the back of the line so that they don’t have to wait 20 minutes before finding out. We have a 5yo and we had to go somewhere else to line up for a further 25 min. You shouldn’t be allowed to run this business at a festival if you can’t cater for the demand. An absolute joke!
Wow what an amazing experience i had here! The food was lovely.i ordered the super special pizza and i must say it was really the most special experience of my life! This pizza is life changing as well as the staff.they were all lovely and provided the most excellent customer service i have ever received.will definitely tell my family and friends about this doncaster hidden gem and will definitely be back soon ️️
If you love the same terrible pizza that every other terrible pizza place serves up then you might like it.
Assorted mystery meat with plenty of that fake ham on a stale base, freezer garlic bread. Gross.
Update Feb 22. Really good service! Food took 7 minutes from order to table, quality very good chips bang on calabrese pizza nice kick. Staff really on point, glad we gave it another go.
Really disappointing service. Before it gets lost expanding on that will say the food was as good as usual and did come out quite quickly.
Weren't busy but nobody came to take a drinks order. After waiting a while took note of time and waited another 5 minutes, then went up to order at the counter. Nobody asked how the meals were going. After dinner waited a while to flag someone down again.
This may have been a one off, normally service is at least fine if not good. But tonight didn't recognise any of the staff, may have had an inexperienced group on? The guy in my area.didn't really spend any time in my area, and when able to see my table almost actively avoided looking at my table. Hope this is unusual but won't be rushing back.
Terrible - Worse than a Supermarket Frozen Pizza
Pathetic excuse for food! Please stop selling Pizzas!
Ordered seafood platter calamari burnt vegetables cold chips cold just horrible never going again
We went ona Saturday night for dinner.
We were greated and seated by a friendly staff membet. Service staff were great and also very friendly. Service was quick as the restaurant was fairly quiet (we arrived around 8pm). We had garlic bread as a starter which arrived quickly, warm and was tasty.
I ordered Pasta Pescatore with Napoletana sauce. I had it as a main and must say it was a large size serve and filling. The sauce was very tasty and the seafood mix was good. My only comment is that a few more mussels, squid and maybe some scallops woukd have been great. Overall though really nice dish I would order again. Prices are reasonable.
My Mom ordered Pasta and fresh Italian salad which had a slug in it which when was found, made us both sick! I ordered the grilled porterhouse steak which wasn’t grilled nil char marks, was like it was boiled or casseroled! Was totally disappointed ️ will never go there again. Then when suggesting to the waitress to let the chef know, was told it is made in the oven, because Forno means oven.shattering!
Ever been for dine in pizza and had it served to you lukewarm.squid was warm and stodgy.chips just passed the heat test but not fried properly.very starchy
Enjoyed it.
Note, get rid of the loud doof, doof noise coming from the food truck set up next door. It's a minus.
After all the post's I was looking forward to this place. Pizza was ok but the pasta Napoletana looked more like a bolognese and not very appealing then to top it off the drink I ordered came without ice just as well it was 7 degrees out side all in all we we were left a little disappointed and don't think will be back.
This was first visit since it changed hands. Nothing special about the food or service, just average. The fact they have put a mini market at entry to the restuarant makes it ordinary appearance as well. Try it for yourself maybe your experience may be better but I'm not returning in a hurry.
Service was good, both people I spoke with were incredibly lovely and helpful during both the ordering process and payment/pick up. Unfortunately that was let down by super average and doughy pizza that tasted undercooked. The garlic bread was nice but not necessarily worth the price. The strawberry gelato was amazing though!
