Honestly won't go back. Rude service, below average food. Didn't have much available on their menu

The most disgusting thing that made me certain I won't return is the APPALLING treatment from the older lady to the young staff. Called one useless, clapping at them to hurry up etc. No respect for her workers whatsoever and she needs a hard course on how to manage employees if she thinks that's okay. All the customers around noticed it and we all had the same look on our faces.

Great little take away shop. So many gluten free options! For a place so filled with expensive shops! This will be a nice change and something to cure your hangover on a Sunday morning!

I will never step foot in this establishment again, the way my friends and i were spoken to was so disrespectful! The older lady needs to be more aware of how to communicate to customers, KARREN!

Amazing big burgers!
My husband is coeliac and it can be hard to find gluten free options. We saw a review online of Piping Hot Chicken so we went there and asked the usual questions about their gluten free options etc. The lady was super knowledgeable and told us how they prepare it and what items were gluten free.
We got 2 burgers, their signature one and the bacon cheeseburger. The fries were also gluten free
They were delicious, generous in size and the chips had good seasoning. My husband was impressed with the gluten free bun as well, which doesn't happen often!

Not an overall great experience. Food was overpriced and one staff member was extremely rude. We were honestly shocked at how we were spoken to despite being a customer having spent over $30!

This little retro shop has a great atmosphere with awesome burgers but best of all are their live performances. It’s up close and personnel, a great night out for anyone who enjoys good music and a tasty meal.

The Piping Hot Chicken Shop is iconic. I've been going there for ten years and their menu and general vibe is as good as ever. Laid back, quirky decorations and great music fill this shop. The food is frankly legendary. I can't help but stop by for their chips, cheese and gravy from time to time.

Some of the worst customer service I have ever experienced the older lady with white hair is so rude and obnoxious the food is really good but the way I was treated has put me off there for a while now wouldn’t recommend to any holiday makers coming to ocean grove

Great, retro atmosphere with awesome food. Had the KFC burger which was crazy good and a decent size too. Staff were good also. People watching bench along the window for those inclined and loos out back, I could stay all day.

It was more the ambience what I found so facinating.
They have bands and music on Saturday nights, very comfortable indoor seating. I like the retro furniture, it gives the place a good unique enticing vibe while visiting the coast of OG.

Just went in for a quick bite. Staff were so unbelievably rude and arrogant.
Not only did they claim we didn't show our Vaxx certificate, they also had a go at us for eating take away outside. It was unnecessary and rude. There is a polite way to talk to people and that was NOT it.

Despite the 'grumpiness' still the best burgers in Ocean Grown and Barwon Head. The hot wings were also to die for!

Walked in and experienced the most arrogant staff i've ever encounted. Needless to say we left.

I must say the customer service has been absolutely atrocious. From the get go the older lady with the white short hair and blue glasses was extremely rude. She didn’t even greet me and my brother when we walked in and immediately asked for masks despite me telling her of my medical exemption. So customer service is a 1/10. The only redeeming factor was the lady Michelle who was kind. The food was average at best.

Great gluten free burgers and chips (understand coeliac disease). Other family members loved the chicken and chips. Will be coming back, well worth the drive from Melbourne.

Really wanted to like this place! Ordered chips and gravy and it came in a single-use plastic container even though we were eating in, the chips were for some reason mixed in with the gravy so obviously all of them were soggy: (nice atmosphere though
