Dr Micheal is understanding, professional and an expert in his field. It was hard to find a good doctor until I got referred to Dr Piperoglou. I can feel comfortable that I have a doctor that actually looks after me and cares. Other doctors made me feel like a number and had no human or genuine feel, but with Dr Micheal, he feels more like a friend which I'm grateful for. Thank you Dr Micheal for helping me in becoming a better version of myself and I'm grateful to have a doctor like you.

He was completely awful to me. Was 40 minutes late to original appointment, and almost an hour for the most recent. I was trying to ask questions and he made me feel stupid and cut me off multiple times. Also made me feel that if I did not buy the exact brands of vitamins he wanted me to they wouldn't work. Treated me like I was below him and wasting his time and didn't even give me time to finish asking him about side effects I was having due to my medications.

Dr Piperoglou was knowledgeable but it would have been appreciated if his interpersonal skills shown in the initial consultation continued. Unfortunately having your back to your client for most part of the consultations to follow showed a disinterest and lack of professionalism.

This Doctor knows his stuff. His knowledge and expertise is extensive, with some impressive research and expertise in the field of Mental Health. It is not easy to accurately diagnose and get medications correct after one appointment (which some people seem to think) I have been seeing him for the last 18 months, and, through trial and error, he has been the first person to successfully diagnose and treat me with amazing results. His personal investment to produce his own medicinal products, through extensive research and study, shows he is committed and invested in his field. And they work! I will continue to see him as he has helped me immensely. I am so appreciative I was referred to him. Thank you Michael.

Dr. Piperoglou is a knowledgeable, friendly and compassionate professional who works with the patient to achieve long term sustainable care.

I could not recommend him highly enough.

A disaster, All the knowledge he has wasted by a complete lack of interest. Completely ignored every concern after years of great treatment. More interested in looking out the window and wasting time until he asks you what prescriptions you need instead of listening and helping you with your actual problems. He has clearly had enough of this job and should retire.

Has shown a lack of empathy in treating my son who has complex needs. I have found him and office staff have little understanding or want to understand that they are dealing with someone with more than one socially debilitating condition. Their off the cuff, one size fits all approach has added to my sons anxiety.

Thorough, straight-talking and extremely non-judgemental.

As someone with a history of long term depression & anxiety he was able to accurately diagnose my underlying dysfunction: severe ADHD. After an in depth consultation and series of questionnaires, I was medicated accordingly and my life changed almost overnight.

Rather than just prescribing a stimulant, he took a more holistic approach by recommending a range of supplements to encourage neurogenesis (with written information sheets describing their efficacy), as well as a book that provided valuable insight and practical methods to overcome my dysfunction.

While it may be due to the fact that I was such a textbook case, I admired his resolve to swiftly and accurately diagnose my condition and defer prescribing authority to my G. P, allowing him to take on other clients and provide life changing help to the underlying tsunami of people coming to realise that there is a reason they find life so difficult.

I have been consulting with Dr Piperoglou since early 2019. I was referred to Dr Piperoglou for a second opinion by psychiatrist who is an OAM. Dr Piperoglou promptly assessed the concerns and shortly after that within 3 months my quality of life completely improved.

Later on, I faced more of life’s less desirable curveballs, in my case cannonballs that had significantly weighed on my mental health.

Supportive people in my life pushed me to discuss these issues, with my Psychiatrist Dr Piperogolou. Instantly Dr Piperoglou was all over it. There was no judgement, he didn’t think I was going mad. Instead, thanks to Dr Piperogolou my quality of life significantly improved for the positive.

I am exceptionally grateful and truely appreciative of Dr Piperogolou’s expertise. Despite phone consults throughout most of 2019 during COVID-19. Dr Piperogolou is undoubtedly, the best in his field of work. I can say Dr Piperogolou is knowledgeable in all areas of psychiatric expertise, he does not however profess to be or try to step out of his area of expertise. I respect Dr Piperogolou and the best approach with Dr Piperogolou is to be like him straight up and honest. It’s never to late to change your life. You cannot be the change you wish to see unless you really want change. If you struggle to accept reality and aren’t open to taking some advice from a renowned specialist as Dr Piperogolou or able to rise with straight forward, blunt and upfront communication. Dr Piperogolou is not for you.

I will also add that I had some previous experience with another Epworth psychiatrist and I felt judged and criticised whilst in session and didn’t proceed with therapy for some years afterwards.

It’s never too late to thrive. I trust Dr Piperogolou with my life.

Dr Piperoglou is a rare doctor who will interact actively with his patients and learn from their experiences. He is a wealth of knowledge and is ever seeking new understanding and new research. All his recommendations are base on sound science and true understanding of the many facets of mental health. For me he has always listened to my concerns and allowed me to find the treatment that best suits my life with no judgement.

Ran very late on two occasions. Was unclear in his diagnosis; did not ever say if I had a diagnosis but then referred me to someone to treat a certain diagnosis, so I’m, so I’m not sure what I paid for. When I asked for non-pharmacological methods to help my attention he said to write things on my hand. He advised me to stop taking medication that my dermatologist prescribed me for hair loss, stating “what have you got to loose.a few hairs”. He recommended a medication but wouldn’t write a script for it, but referred me on to get a script. In general I haven’t felt he was switched on or tuned in to me as an individual, and to me it has not been money well spent.

Before I went to see Dr Piperoglou, I had anxiety, depression, suicidal tendencies, obsessive thoughts.

Thanks to him I'm no longer having these issues and I'm much better than I was before, I have been able to have a job and move forward with my life.

Thank you for saving my life.

Mental health diagnosis in Australia is a specialists playing field and many professionals are very quick to come to conclusions and label patients when they are not 100%sure that the person actually is under the banner of a particular illness or syndrome etc.
With Mental health it cannot and should not only be patient and psychiatrist because he/she is not getting the full picture of what is going on externally out side the half hour appointment.
My daughter was found to have adhd by Mr Piperoglou and was medicated by him with very strong medication plus the fish oil pills!
The medication had not made any difference to her mental health but when ever I tried to discuss this with him either through telephone or email I did not receive a response, except for once where I was told that because she is an adult He is unable to discuss her well being with me! Then he used my concerns to label me as a helicopter mum to my daughter!
I’m sorry but When the so called mental health professionals are dealing with mentally unstable patients, in half hour appointments there is much more to these people’s lives that complete the puzzle that needs to be supported in n order for well being to occur!
My daughter was taken off the medication by a gp and since then been diagnosed with a hormone imbalance, which is something that was never looked into by Mr piperoglou or her previous psychologist!
How did we come to realize that her issues were hormonal, because we noticed a pattern to her unstable mood swings!
My biggest concern is how many people out there are being diagnosed and labeled with a Mental health issue which is incorrect? Then on top of this medicated with seriously strong medication, which affects other areas of ttheir health and thirdly Absolutely no network or voice for those people who are picking up the pieces outside the half hour appointment but their input is being arrogantly ignored!
How many women have been diagnosed Mentally but have never had their hormones tested or a cycle followed, and are put on incorrect medication.

I saw him once. He spent an extremely long time on something and would not be moved from that issue, and at the end he wanted to sell me fish oil capsules for $40 cash. On top of that his HICAPS doesn't appear to work. You have to pay for parking, his receptionists are woeful and his manner is poor.
