Ping's Dumpling Kitchen reviews
46 Dumplings: terrible, worst I’ve had.
1 Entree 2 mains= $58
And the worst takeaway I’ve ever had.
None of it had flavour, it was all a sticky texture like it has been sitting all day.
Will never order here again.
The environment was extremely loud and guests are seated very close together. The food itself was great and I’m guessing that’s why you put up with the atmosphere because the food is so great. This place is not wheelchair accessible and I wouldn’t recommend it for people who have noise or sensory issues
Best dumplings ever. Took 20 mins longer than told for takeaway and the restaurant needs an update. However absolutely worth the wait
Favourite place for dumplings and Shanghai noodles. Food always of same tasty standard. Well priced too.
Pings is a southeast cultural icon for being one of best places to go to get amazing dumplings. They're menu has a variety of other options as well for those looking to satiate their Chinese food cravings.
The only reason I come in here is because of how good the food is. Unfortunately the staff are extremely horrible. I’ve never been the one to criticise the staff in a hospitality setting as I understand they’re always under pressure. However, the staff in this place is always surprisingly rude even when there are 0 customers around and you’re extremely polite to them. It’s a shame such a good place is going to waste because of bad service.
Really good dumplings! The pork fried dumplings are really good. The Shanghai noodles was something we hadn't tried and liked it.
Absolutely love Pings. It never wavers in its quality. A regular takeaway or sit in dining experience for myself and my fiance.
Singapore noodles are amazing. The dumplings are some of the best in Melbourne.
I recommend the Xiao long bao (小笼包) it's really good and tastes amazing.
The food here is great and it's very affordable if you order in person. Highly recommended, and I've been going here for years:).
Do not recommend this shop, simply for the fact that the receptionsseemed to hate her life and reciprocated that bitchness towards me, all for the reason that I couldn't pay cash, which is also unsanitary. I came to this place because it had 1k positive reviews.
I was mistaken.this is sad.
Sadly thumbsdown to this venue
Big sad
Best dumpling place in town. Cash only: for $10 you can eat 15 dumplings. Massive selections and freat taste. Very busy place, make sure you prepare to wait a bit.
Their prices are certainly attractive but the quality of the food was fairly disappointing. Their dumplings are oily and lacked flavour, and the noodle soup was bland and tasteless.
You are getting for what you pay here…so if you are on a budget and just looking to fill up a meal then this place is perfect for you
That was a terrible customer service i haven't met ever.the food is terrible and it took a very long time to get my food. I will never come back agian!
We always come here when were in the Clayton area. Yummy crunchy dumplings with Dan Dan Noodles is our staples. Never dissapoints.
This is literally the best Shanghai dumpling joint in SE Melbourne. Aside from the obvious dishes like fried pork dumplings and Shanghai fried noodles (both great), a stand out dish is the pork chop with egg on rice. It is amazing.
Unfortunately, like paying for sauce on a takeaway pie, for over 10 years I never was asked when ordering takeaway dumplings except for my most recent experience where chilli oil was bluntly refused with my takeaway order of dumplings and by principle I refused to pay extra.
I was in Clayton looking for good ol'Chinese food and Ping's Dumpling Kitchen popped up on my radar.
Grabbed Boiled/Pan Fried Dumplings, Shanghai Noodles, and Dan-Dan Noodles. Their dumplings were delicious. Slightly smaller than usual but still a great value for money considering you get 15 pieces for only $10. Packed with flavourful fillings, they were best paired with a bit of soy sauce, chilli oil, and vinegar. Simply couldn't resist delicious juice bursting out with every bite. Their noodles were also amazing. I'd definitely get their Shanghai Noodles again next time.
This place won't disappoint you if you are looking for some delicious juicy dumplings. Very generous portions of foods and lovely service overall. Would definitely recommend this restaurant to everyone!

This place has the best dumplings in Melbourne. The line out the front doesn't lie.people travel across Melbourne for these dumplings
Female staffs are rude and the customer service is bad. They ignore when we call, i changed my seat towards inside the restaurant because the seat they gave us was near the door and it was remained open on 12degrees winter evening.
The female staff said we cannot move our seat, but we have already confirmed with a male staff that we can move our seats to inside of the store. Then when we have moved, the female staffs said we shouldn't do this next time. (I already got confirmed with the male staff)
Then since then even when i called the female staffs they ignored me and never responded to my request when they were right next to me. However tbe male staff was friendly and have shown great customer service.
Never expect any service from this place, female staffs seriously needs some service education. I am digusted by their service
Ping's dumplings have the best dumplings I ever had. They are clean and tidy but isn't the best place from the look and feel perspective. Food is very tasty and quantity is also generous. They are cheap and good. Although tables sometimes may be sticky but still clean enough to eat.
