Pig & Whistle Tavern reviews
68Great English themed pub offering a variety of ales and a choice of food. Service was quick and the food delicious.
Service was fantastic and the atmosphere was good. Unfortunately the shank was tasteless, veggies were divine.
Awesome feed. Big meals, $30 main courses, $10 pints, quick service. Comfortable atmosphere.
Just at here tonight with my fiancé I must say amazing place great vibe and killer food highly recommend the beef burger also to the owners who gave us a ride will be back
Trying pub meals around and we made the trek up the mountain today. The kids meals were well priced but lacked flavour. Pork belly was great but the chicken snitzel was a bit oily. Good atmosphere.
Love the Pig & Whistle, always guaranteed a tasty meal & friendly service. The pork belly is delish! Kids meals are great - chicken nuggets are real crumbed chicken pieces. Very nice!
Came in over the weekend and had a lovely time! The venue is really cute and has a nice outdoor area. The staff were friendly and had very fast service.
We had a few cocktails which were really nice and well made. I had the steak which was cooked perfectly, the mushroom gravy was very tasty with it. My partner had the roast pork, it was nice but the sauce was a tiny bit too sweet, was a little bit sad there wasn’t crackling, I think that would have made the dish.
We had the sticky date and brownie for dessert, they were both really nice and veryyyy big portions, we took half of each home to have later on.
Was a really nice evening and I’d definitely recommend popping down
I haven't eaten here yet, it is located in a lovely nook in the hills. Excellent range of beers and wines.
Amazing! The best pub food I've ever eaten. The Irish Parma was amazing, pork belly the very best and sticky date pudding is a MUST!
You can’t go wrong with a place that has heads on the wall.
Well worth as a destination drive. Good English feeling about the place and some locally made and imported flat beers to complement it.
The meals were all pretty good pub quality and plenty of it. Staff were friendly and the whole area has a great vibe about it.
Put it on the list for the Sunday drive
My partner and I stayed in the Dandenong ranges for the weekend and we visited a few of the pubs and restaurants. This place was our favourite! The atmosphere and food was great, and the staff were awesome! They really made us feel at home
The portions, WOW! So tasty - I loved the piggys famous parma. We had to pack our deserts home, no room after the main lol The staff is also very helpful and attentive
Great atmosphere, great food, friendly staff, excellent drink selection. Portion sizes are massive but value for money here is obviously a key aspect to their success. Highly recommended.
Great atmosphere, hearty meal, had the pork belly and it was cooked to perfection.
Highly recommend to tourists and locals
Horrible food my steak was overcooked and dry I asked for no butter as l have dairy intolerances but my steak was covered in butter even when I
requested none when the meal arrived l said to the male staff l can't have butter he said that how it comes the vegetables also were in butter so I'm disappointed with your chef once I was home l had stomach problems not happy won't be returning here
Oh my goodness! Amazing food (huge servings), great service, excellent atmosphere, and a fab trip down British memory lane! We’ll be back!
I had been eagerly awaiting another visit after lock down, looking forward to the Piggy Platter.not on the menu any more, asked if I could change chips for mash but apparently this isn't an option.waitress was fantastic.but other staff were all sitting around and didn't even acknowledged us as we walked passed. Being noted for being an English pub, restaurant and myself, English and an ex barmaid of many years in UK I can assure you it doesnt come close. HOSPITALITY had gone down hill since my last visit, I had been telling my friends we should go there but now saddly I won't be back. Feeling deflated.
Food here is great! Awesome selection of beers and drinks. We had a peanut butter whisky it was so good! Parma was yum. Worth the drive up the hills
A lunch here always rounds out a trip to the Dandenongs nicely. Lovely Old World-style pub, friendly service, big tasty meals (recommend the bangers and mash!), good selection of beers on tap.
