Pig and Whistle Hotel

Wow! This place was great and exceeded my food expectations and vibe. I had not been for many years and it’s had a fantastic makeover. It has multiple seating areas, 2 beautiful outdoor areas, bar area and dining room. We all really enjoyed our meal and my friend was thrilled with their vegan meal choice.

I went several times in the cooler months. Multiple open fires are a win. More recently in the sun but the beer garden is amazing too. I’ve had the Scotch Fillet 4 times now and it’s always perfectly cooked with genuine char grilled flavour. The most generous amount of chips and salad ever and the seasoning… get involved!

We had a wonderful afternoon chatting with staff and patrons. Decided to go back for dinner after our drive in the country. We had a delicious parmigiana.

Stumbling upon it was like finding a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow.what a little gem. Great food, cold beer, fantastic warm welcome and a fabulous beer garden.why wouldn't ya head off the beaten track. I'll be back.soon. Fabulous pub.do yourself a favour.just Go

Great destination pub. Lovely atmosphere from walking in the front door and lovely and warm (but not stifling). Staff were genuinely welcoming and friendly. Food and service equally good. Looking forward to going back to sit outside as the outdoor area looked beautiful.

Beautiful authentic pub. Fire places, billiards, Bar, main dining room, outdoor eating area and more. Historical photos and information. Delicious meals and friendly staff.

Ripper, inside and out. Open fires in winter and huge outdoor area. Food was good and fortunately they had Guinness on tap.

Fantastic destination, meals were great and the service is second to none. Well worth the drive.

Celebrated my daughter’s birthday with over 30 guests on the weekend at the beautiful Pig & Whistle Hotel in Trentham East. The sun was on show for us, incredible live music and amazing food and drinks, coupled with the great staff made for a beautiful day! If I could award 10 stars I would! One of the best up and coming country pubs in Victoria… if not it is already the best. Thank you!

I recently visited this beautiful old pub with a lot of history and I have to say, it was an amazing experience! The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, and the decor really transported me back in time. The staff were friendly and welcoming.
But what really stole the show was the food. From start to finish, every dish was expertly prepared and absolutely delicious.

Dead fly in cutlery cup on table, a couple of staff members looked dreadful in very short shorts, meals were ordinary. Won't be back

I recently had the opportunity to capture an afterparty there and let me tell you, it was a hit. The warm and inviting atmosphere, the timeless appeal of the venue, combined with the friendly and accommodating staff, everything was just 10/10!

As a wedding photographer, I appreciate a venue that has a 'style', this pub definitely did just that. Highly recommend checking it out for your next event!

My first impression was how wonderful the location.country fields and grazing cattle.
Then the staff, all so professional and helpful, especially Sarah.
The food was very good coupled with a great wine list.
