77I ordered a take out. Are you guys save the world? This tastes so well. Not too sweet. Pistachio is my favorite flavor.
An all-time classic. Pidapipo is our favorite dessert spot in Melbourne with its now iconic Pistachio gelato and a limited edition Apple Pie flavor. Even in this cold, we couldn't help but pay them a visit. Decadent, smooth, and refined. We can't wait to see what they have next time.
After waiting for 30min plus, we've been told by one of the shop girls that we won't be served and the was at least 8 people waiting behind us, unprofessional and disappointing wasting time for not putting at least a sign while people were lining up.
My favourite gelato place, the staff are friendly and helpful, even when it's busy and the quality of the gelato is amazing. Definitely worth lining up for, coming here always improves my mood. Highly recommend their coffee, hazelnut and bacio flavours.
Not accepting cash and no signs to say so. Lady was extremely rude, and unapologetic. Cash is currency and treating people like dirt because they want to pay cash is appalling. Won't be back.
Loved the gelato here, it was my favourite in Melbourne for years. Now it is good, but nothing standout special like gelato at Spring Street Grocer for example.
I hope they return to their roots of providing exceptionally vibrant tasting, fresh, and interesting flavours of gelato with less of a generic milk flavour for the dairy ones at least. I'd recommend the sorbets or vegan dark chocolate which do have more flavour vibrancy.
Lovely staff and lovely Gelato!
Many options for vegans and lactose intolerants people.
The papamisu have been famous and easily sold out for father's day. Knowing that it gets sold out easily and will be finishing work at 6 pm. I thought I have secured the papamisu by advance ordering at 1pm via uber eats and to be delivered at my work place by 6pm just to know that 10 mins before 6 pm it's already sold out and asking me for different order. Also their phone number is useless.
You don't get the status of Melbourne's best ice cream for no reason. It is indeed one of the best ice-cream/gelato. The textures, sweetness, flavours, abd service are all five star. There is usually a queue but it moves fairly quickly. My favourite flavours are: nuttela swirl, pistachio and coffee.
I've been here twice now and am not sure what the excitement is all about. At the first visit I tried their banana gelato which was smooth but had the (fake) banana essence flavour - it was totally underwhelming. I gave it a second chance today and went for the Nutella swirl which a lot of people rave about. However, other than the fresh, crispy cone and the chocolate fudge as a free add on, the gelato itself was simply.ordinary.
I'm going against the grain here but my fave remains Casa Del Gelato a few blocks down.
I always wondered why there's always a queue here, so I decided to let my taste buds do the deciding. Now, I'm a very big ice cream fan, and my favourites were going to be hard to beat. Pidapipo didn't disappoint. The ice cream was so good that we went out of our way to go back again, and we brought others with us. The creamy texture is second to none, the flavours are amazing (if you can't decide, try the vanilla honeycomb) and the pricing is on point. I'm definitely going back.
Sure, the ice cream is delicious. But styrofoam tubs and plastic spoons that end up in the trash after 5 minutes? In 2021 surely we can do better than that.
Really disappointing. Got to the ice cream shop as they where closing at 11pm tonight. Entered as they closed the doors for last customers. Kids were still outside so told them to come in to choose what they wanted. There where several adults and prior to us. The guy serving called out after the kids entered that they were closed and told us to leave. Told him I was in before they closed the door and the kids were with me but wasn’t interested. Safe d are you really gong to say no to the only kids in here let alone a sale of 6? Still told us to leave. After that service will differently never be back there.
Long line cause it’s always so popular. But at least they’re open relatively late. There are a range of unique flavours! The staff are good at serving the gelato, and it tasted pretty good (but a little too sweet).
In terms of seating, it’s a bit difficult to find a seat cause the place is quite small. But there are a lot of places around / in the area to walk around while you eat. In terms of pricing, it is on the more expensive side, compared to other places, but the quality definitely doesn’t disappoint
My go to gelato place in Carlton, lots of flavours, friendly staff that let you try the flavours. If you go at night there is always a line.
Went in today and the young lady serve such a tiny portion, will definitely come back when the friendly guy is working!
40 minutes of waiting for an icecream with a line of only 20 people. One person only making icecreams, the classic example of those who only want to make a profit. They will never see me again.
Add delicious icecream, great and efficient customer service and reasonable prices and it's pretty much the reason you'd be willing to line up outside and wait patiently for your turn.
Nice ice cream but customer service also counts. 2PM on a Sunday, queue back to the corner, 30 minute wait, one person serving whole the other made ice cream. If yr pulling in numbers like this, treat yr customers and staff right and put more people on.
There are about four icecream stores in the area but this one was the only one with a long queue of customers. I've just tried the coffee icecream and it was great!
Great selection of ice cream. Missing a good old plain vanilla. But the honeycomb vanilla was creamy and sweet, tasty. Their other mixed flavours are delicious too. Serving sizes are massive, especially for price! Only needed one scoop after dinner.
Worth the line up. And there will be a line up no matter what time you go because it's that good!
