Phuoc Hung Bakery reviews
31The best banh mi in the area, cheap too! Great customer service, people that work here are also very nice:)
AMAZING FOOD! I love coming in with friendly service and great staff! The rolls are to die for. Absolutely recommend
This banh mi shop is a convenient short walk from where I work. The service is friendly and quick, and the banh mis have good flavour. Great spot for a quick take away lunch in the North Richmond/Abbotsford area.
Best banh mi on Vic St, such a friendly guy there too. I have had the pork ball and tofu, both delicious.
Had the crispy pork roll, delicious! Generous portions of paste, vegetable and pork, filled with flavor. Staff were friendly, shop was bright, spacious and clean. Next time I will also get the Vietnamese iced coffee. Highly recommended!
To die for Banh Mi. I ordered the Grilled Pork Banh Mi and it was one of the very best I've ever eaten. Fresh and flavoursome ingredients, 100% value for money. Man at the front is extremely friendly and has exceptional customer service skills. Wait time is very quick and overall service was amazing. If you are in the area and in need of a quick snack you simply MUST visit this bakery.
This is a great place to buy crispy pork, grilled chicken, grilled pork and mixed cold ham rolls. The best rolls ever!
Went here for the first time today and I will definitely be back! The staff were angels, and the tofu banh mi was so amazing. The fresh ingredients really shine! The matcha here is lovely too. Thank you for the food?
Just P-E-R-F-E-C-T. I’ve been looking for a new local bahn mi spot since moving out of Collingwood (N Lee was my absolute fav). The crispy pork and bbq pork were full of flavour and tasted authentic. Everything was fresh — the baguette had a crispy crust and a soft airy texture, pork was freshly cooked, and had just the right amount of pate and spiciness. Prices are also super competitive ($9 crispy pork and $7 bbq pork). 100% recommend. The owners were also so lovely and are truly passionate about their craft *chefs kiss*
Superb food and lovely bloke at the front serving you. Have been looking for a good banh mi for a long time ever since I have moved closer to the city. Will be a regular here, highly recommend the crispy pork roll
There are many pretenders to the banh mi throne but there can only be one King - his royal Highness, Phuoc Hung Bakery.
Blessed I was, to venture to the motherland and dine amongst Saigon's Nobel's and court jesters, though this was sadly short lived.
Upon my return I travelled wide and far through this great city on my banh mi pilgrimage.
Blasphemers and heathens sully this prestigious culinary marvel with iceberg lettuce, Roma tomatoes, and - dear readers it may shock you to learn - peanut butter. Such outrageous ingredients were banished from the royal court centuries ago and the sacred tradition of banh mi upheld through royal lineage.
Succulent cold cuts, moist cooked meats, fresh vegetables and titillating tofu beckon you in from the street like a seductive Asian Charcuterie board. Only the freshest bread with pillowy insides and gum slicing crispy crust are used for this divine meal.
Ask any Grandmother, Nona, Abuela or bà ngoại why their food tastes so good and they won't give you a recipe or some mysterious combination of spices passed down from franchisee to franchisee. No, they'll say they made it with love. You'll smirk like granny is up to something, she'll return to her grandmotherly duties content in this simple truth.
The lovely ladies and boisterous front man of Phuoc Hung Bakery listened to their Nana and fill every mini baguette with the same love and attention they'd give their own child's play lunch.
There is a never a bad time to eat Banh Mi. Too hot, too cold, too rainy, too dry, all amount to nought when you bite into your own pork roll.
Or if you're me; BBQ chicken with coriander chilli and peanuts. Try it, it'll knock your cotton socks off!
In the 5 days I’ve been in this area, I went here 3 time for lunch.
Went here for the Bahn Mi, The buns are crispy, baked at this location, the vegetables ante fresh, the pork is crispy and the staff are amazing.
First time here and it's now my favourite banh mi on Victoria St. Not sure why I didn't know about this place since it opened 9 months ago.
Bread roll - light, fresh and crispy 9/10
Crispy pork - meat was really tender with generous amount of crackling 9/10.
Vegetables were really fresh, generous amount of butter and pate too 9/10
Overall 9/10 - flavour is really good. Only downside for me was overfilling the roll with too much meat as I like a good balance between filling and bread roll.
Best Bahnmi role ever! Value for money great service, loved the price and quality! Visited gains today to experience the best Banh Mi again!
Very pleasing food and open early in the morning.excellent meatballs and lovely customer service!
Really awesome banh mi. Authentic and very accommodating to any customisations you want to your banh mi. Highly recommended.
I confess to having thoroughly enjoyed a filled roll here, but I've twice asked to purchase their plain banh mis and been told there are none available despite a stack of them being clearly visible on the rack. The other banh mi place further along the road is happy to sell plain rolls and make their customers happy.
Wont be returning here as you should welcome and serve the customer you have rather than turn them away in favour of a phantom who might spend more money.
I drive out of my way to get Banh mi from here, best in the neighbourhood.
Also has great iced coffee and friendly staff:)
Honestly the best Banh Mi and Vietnamese iced coffee I’ve ever had. Excellent customer service and welcoming environment
Lovely place, food is good. Place is clean and presentable and the staff were very friendly. Definitely recommend!
