PHO Huong Viet Saigon reviews
77Fresh and delightful Vietnamese food. I got to hit those comfort cravings of broken rice and pho. Will absolutely be back
We were hoping to find pho that can final Huong Vong in Footscray so we won't have to drive all the way. With the reviews, we were very hopeful but this doesn't make the cut. We had the bun and mixed meat pho with offals and fried eggplant. Everything was just ok and nothing stood out for us to think that we'd revisit.
Great pho! Huge servings! Fast service, dedicated parking lot. If I could change 1 thing it would be fresh chilli with the pho instead of the pickled chilli that is on the table, but I know that's being nit picky. Won't stop me being back for a quick, tasty and affordable pho lunch
Visited pho huong viet saigon a couple of weeks ago for my birthday.we are repeat visitors, this spot has become a go to for occasions despite us living 40 minutes away.food was awesome.the only dish that i could see any kind of fault in was the vegetable spring rolls which lacked flavour and the filling had somewhat of a floury texture.besides that, everything that we ordered was incredible.the smoothies and bubble tea are fantastic, and the owner even brought out some little tasters of other flavours including custard apple.service was so beautiful and friendly and they really made a fuss of me for my birthday.thanks so much for having us!
First off, entering the restaurant, I could feel a discomfort. Yup, empty cup, candy wrapper, tissue papers under dining table, I had to swipe them off using my feet to sit on my chair. Oily air. No doubt their business seems better than it’s next door neighbour, but could feel the food has lost its “home-y” touch. Anyway, not a place I would crave to return to. Try it out for yourselves. Tho.
This restaurant needs to take the customer food request seriously!
I ordered Beef Tendon Pho, and on the note I put meat needs to be well done.
I have two return a bowl of Pho 2 times in order to have all meat well done. There is a reason why I can’t eat raw meat. My request has been completely ignored!
The first time the food came, meat on the top were Red. Then I return it, I don’t even know whether the food ever reach to the kitchen, but when it came back to me, I can tell the meat was just soak in the soup until the colour changes, while I can still find redness on the meat. So I have to return it again.
Very impolite owner shouts at a woman maybe he’s man o pause, so we went and surprisingly there’s better pho next door by the mall!
I've been here a bunch of times over the years. It use to be good, but the food and service has gotten really bad. I regretted not cooking at home. We went early in the night, so it wasn't busy, there was no excuse for the poor service and really poorly cooked food. We ordered pork rice paper rolls that were falling apart and had no pork in them. We thought they'd given us the wrong order. The vermicelli noodles with veg and tofu had barely any veg and only 5 small pieces of tofu that didn't taste fresh, not at all like what I've had there before. The hainese chicken was not flavored with hainese spices, just covered in thick soy sauce and the flavoring in the rice was so mild that it could have been confused with plain steamed rice. The dude behind the counter needs to help his floor staff. He was just standing around while his one waiter on the floor greated, seated and served all the guests, refilled containers and cleaned down tables all by herself. We ended up having to flag down the kitchen staff to take our order, which should have been the red flag to just leave and go to the place a few doors down. Overall, it was beyond disappointing.
Pho was great. Ordered dumpling which had an oily smell and couldn't eat. Overall, the place is worth visiting.
Grilled Chicken with Noodle and salad
My GAWD yum yum yum
Can’t beat this place and how busy it is is a testament to their quality and service
The best vietnamese this side of town! The beef pho has a great flavour, a little sweet. Nice portions too.
Authentic and delicious Vietnamese food. The beef pho's broth was fragrant and rich in flavour. The combination broken rice was perfectly cooked and the pork was succulent (I wish there was more). The service was great too. I highly recommend!
Still probably the best Vietnamese in the area but for some reason the pho has started becoming a bit too sweet for my liking. Not the prettiest place but the pricing reflects this. Still my go to if I can't be bothered going to springvale.
All the dishes we ordered were absolutely delicious!
Entree we ordered chicken & port spring rolls, fried wontons and chicken spare ribs in sizzling peking sauce the seasoning was perfect.
Mains we ordered mongolian beef with fried rice and broken rice special combination. Dessert we ordered fried icecream with maple syrup. All fantastic and great dishes, we loved them all! WOW
Definitely will be going back here!
Waited ~20mins to place order. Couldn’t place order using the app because the order from the previous customer was still processing. Used to like this place a lot. After Covid, the portion has gone smaller, price has gone up. Now the waiting time is unacceptable when the store wasn’t even busy.
Pretty tasty, no fresh chilli which is big disappointment for an authentic experience but overall very tasty
Very poor service rude staff food very poor quality with very limited menu
Will not be back to this place ever
Always love going to this place. Best Viet food in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne. The owner is a great character. The awesome owner and great food at good prices makes you come back for more every time! Try their beef pho, it's great.
Huong is a very nice person and their food is absolutely fantastic ,the beef is really fresh, definitely will back again ,thanks!
Having once lived close to Footscray (premium Viet food hub of Melbourne) I had high expectations of Vietnamese food that could be served here, Pho Huong Viet Saigon did not disappoint! Our family have come here on several occasions and will continue to go there. Good prices, great quality, timely service.
