This is the best pho in the world. The soup is fantastic with no trace of msg and meats are so fresh. Excellent service was a bonus

Great rich taste. Had at 5pm. Still awake at 4am.
Extreme level msg, sodium etc. If sensitive don't try. Otherwise.pretty tasty. But it's 4am. I need sleep.

A good stop for pho in Springvale, the soup is rich, not too salty and they don’t put too much MSG. They’re very quick, and generally there’s no wait times like pho hung around the corner.

Ordered 2 Pho on the phone, without asking for my name or number she hanged up the phone. When got to the restaurant, they told us it's cash only and I questioned why she didn't tell us on the phone. Kinda rude attitude. At the end we didn't have cash, waste of time.

CASH ONLY.
I came at 2: 30pm Wednesday and got a seat immediately.
I know from coming here before, there's a queue to get in, but this is more likely on a weekend.
I ordered a Small Beef Brisket and Rare Beef Pho ($13).
The Pho broth is tasty and has more depth than other Pho restaurants.
They're more generous with the noodles as well. The Beef Brisket was delicious.
They LOSE a Star for being Cash Only with NO Signs to tell you, until you come up to the register.
Pretty incovinient if you aren't carrying cash.
AND They use Disposable Paper cups for Tea. Really NOT Environmentally Friendly.

I'm all for good food but when bad service and bad hygiene get put in the mix the taste of the food suddenly drops to a new low.
A random food safety check will probably do the job.
I wish I kept to just ordering takeaway instead of coming in.
Ignorance is bliss.

Found human hair in my beef pho 3 times!

On Wed 26 May approx 7pm I ordered pho 3 separate times because every time I discovered human hair in the pho. First time was strands of hair, second time was a bunch of hair (like clippings), third time was one long strand. I’m careful to check the food as I’m pregnant and I was discarding the spring onions. The restaurant was apologetic every time but I was insulted that they accused me of having a haircut prior to arriving or somehow was my fault (I haven’t had a haircut in 6 wks). Further, two of the kitchen ladies “coincidentally” went to the toilet after the last two times I raised issue, and when they returned they were intently staring at my head (corridor to toilet is behind me), suggesting I was to blame. I felt they didn’t take any responsibility at all and I lost my appetite. My husband went to pay for his meal and I asked if a modest discount was forthcoming to make up for the inconvenience (I’m pregnant and hungry). The waiter went to ask the “bosses”. Four kitchen ladies (presumably the “bosses”) came out and to my shock NONE were wearing hair nets. There wasn’t even the pretence they were wearing hair nets. One lady showed us the two served bowls that had hair, insinuating that we must pay - they didn’t even discard the bowls and it’s not inconceivable they would serve those bowls to the next unsuspecting customers. All ladies (waitresses & kitchen staff/bosses) were adamant we pay full price for my husband’s meal all while saying in Vietnamese for me to keep it discrete (so as not to scare the patrons). That’s ok with me, I was only asking for some recompense for the inconvenience. My husband paid full price for his meal and we warned the other patrons to check for hair in their food when leaving.
TLDR -
1/ I found hair in 3 separate bowls of pho
2/ Perfunctory apologies from staff, who then had the temerity to accuse me of tampering the food
3/ Please consider this restaurant’s hygiene practices before ordering or eating here.

Nicely sliced beef and good noodles. However, very MSG heavy soup even by Vietnamese restaurant standards. Be prepared to feel very thirsty afterwards. We ordered for two but were given a small amount of basil leaves for one person. We were told this was due to a price increase in Basil. Hard to believe when the other Pho restaurants give the normal standard amount of side vegetables.

A cracking bowl of phó bỏ đặc biệt. Awesome broth, deep, rich flavours and served with all the traditional accompaniments; rare beef, fatty brisket, beef ball, tendon & tripe. Pure heaven in a bowl.
Beware though - Ca$h only

I ordered medium size of pho rare beef, tendon and brisket. The soup was quite nice and everything was fine. Until I finished the whole meal and got super thirsty for some reasons. Anyways it’s worth trying.

The pho was good, the broth was absolutely spot on and I was absolutely full.
But considering it’s a very busy place, the lack of an eftpos machine, COVID distancing rules with people dining in a such small area, efforts should’ve been made.
On a negative side, my pho was boiling hot so the noodles where overcooked. It was such a real pain to grab them because they kept falling appart from being in that boiling broth. I couldn’t eat it straight-out of the bowl. It would be a better idea to use thicker noodle or fresh one.
The meat was sliced too thin even though there was plenty. I had many traditional pho, coming from an Asian background and we don’t slice it thin.
I just think this place is bit overrated and doesn’t do justice to other phô place as there are so many in this time.

Feels like an acheivement to be able to find a spot nearby and only queued for around 5 mins for this sensation on a Sunday! Its authentic and yum, felt super heartwarming and satisfied after a warm bowl of pho~ clear soup and flavourful

Terrible service and just a big disappointment. Ordered four chicken phos - the phos came out with no chicken, just chicken bones. It wasn't until we asked them what happened, they confessed they ran out of chicken. They said they would deduct the pho from the bill however when we went to pay they merely deducted $2 from each bowl. No apology but plenty of attitude from the two ladies who work there. ABSOLUTE DISGRACE. No honestly or integrity. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE.

Chicken noodle soup, chicken is hard to chew, (aged chicken?), sweeping while customer is eating, dust is in air but you won't see them, I would not order chicken noodle again

Try it! Yummo! Super casual, fast service, great, hardy Viet beef or chicken soup noodles - comes in Small, Med or Lrg Bowls - cheap! Perfect light lunch or dinner. The only negative, if I'm forced to give one = super crowded - don't try a full stretch after your meal - you might hit someone in the face

A legendary Pho joint in Springvale (and Footscray). Super busy everyday but worth the wait. Great pho. Nice, simple and delicious. Complete the meal with ‘Three Colors’. All those still costs me less than $20. What a bargain. If you love noodle soup, this is where you must try. Highly recommended

I really like this place. I always visit here when I am in Melbourne.

It isn't fancy, and it doesn't pretend to be anything it isn't. It's sometimes cramped and hard to get in, but it's really really fun to eat there with friends. It's a rat race to get in, get fed and get out.

The servings are great - always leave the place feeling full. The hygiene is good although it feels grummy but that's due to the area.

Overall it's one of my guilty pleasures of Melbourne. It is equivalent to a childhood blanket that is a bit raggedy and faded but you accept it's flaws because it is just so good.

The best pho restaurant in Springvale. We were recommended by one of our friends and read the review 8 years ago before our initial visit. We never went for another one in Springvale afterwards. For many years, we never even went to another restaurant for pho.

The broth is always tasty, there is always a generous amount of meat. It is a fast-paced restaurant, we found the staff there are generally good. They take my preference of the pho very seriously and cook the bean sprout for us. Personally really enjoyed their chilli oil as well, one of the best chilli oils.

During busy hours, there is always a queue.

The taste of the food worth the wait. We generally visit the place once or twice a month. We missed the place so much during Covid as we live really far that it is over 5 km radius (more than 20km away from our place).

We always prepare cash before we go as it is a cash-only business, and this could be the only downside of the restaurant. Hopefully, they will get their EFTPOS soon.

Overall, it is a great place for pho.

There are a lot of people and they need to queue up. I feel the taste is average. I've eaten a lot of pho in Vietnam. I don't think it's very good
