Pho Hung Restaurant reviews
54 After renovation food and service is poor
This place was my favorite place however it is not recently!
So disappointed
The good thing about this place is that they provide very fast service! Foods were served very quickly after they took our order. But that was probably the only good thing about this place.
We ordered Pho, Broken Rice and Vietnamese iced coffee. The foods were a big disappoitment.
Pho didn’t taste like pho. It was bland and definitely lack of Pho flavor. The Pho noodle itself was soggy and lost its proper pho texture. (Maybe it was because they cooked the noodle too long? !? !). It tasted like “pho porridge”, instead of “pho noodle soup” - If you know what I mean.
The iced coffee wasn’t of any good quality. Probably one of the worst coffees I have ever tasted. Just very sugary sweet and there was no depth of coffee flavor that a Vietnamese coffee should taste like.
We couldn’t finish either the foods or the coffee even though we were very hungry after a long trail walk.
Not as good as before. The broth of Pho is too salty with lots of MSG. Though the pork chop rice is still ok.
Ordered one special beef and one special beef and chicken pho. Came with 2 x special beef, and asked the owner that one pho has no chicken in it. He had a look on his paper order, didnt say anything and went back to the kitchen and came with one new beef and chicken pho. We thought it will be free as it was his mistake of taking the wrong order, instead he charged us 3 serves of pho, which we went back and he returned the money back. What a dishonest owner, looks like thats the way he runs his restaurant.
My favourite pho shop in Springvale (whole of Melbourne too from what I've tasted so far). Probably for 20 over years. Also like their Crispy Chicken and Broken Rice dishes and their Viet spring rolls. A must try for pho lovers and also try their other dishes.
Best Pho in Springvale.
We have been coming here for decades.
Pho, fried pork and rice and coffee.
Food is excellent, service is great and their hot coffee is the best in Melbourne.
Highly recommend
This place is amazing. The chicken pho is the best I've had in Melbourne. Fast service. Very polite and accommodating. Delicious food and good prices.
Flavoursome soup not too salty and clear broth. Ordered combination beef noodle and grilled pork with rice. Very satisfying and delicious. Prices everywhere has inflated but this place has maintains it’s quality.
5$ iced coffee, more like 80% ice and 20% coffee, I’ve been to Vietnam and I can say that this place doesn’t even come close representing it especially the baby cup that they use for the ice coffee. Will not be coming back here.
Best phó đúc biết I've had outside of Việt Nam, great cuts of meats, tripe, tendons, brisket, beef, and the noodles are perfectly silky and chewy. Strong flavoured broth with condiments. Highly recommend.
Bad service with the lady, I bought 4 boxes of meal and request one again the plastic bag, I spend $47.20 in the bag and too much put in one bag and we have different car, the lady said need 10 cents to take the plastic bag, unbelievable. Very bad service and the food was bad too.
Nice Pho and spring rolls. However the premise is quite constrain in space and greasy. Service is fast though. Great tasting Vietnamese pho restaurant but the restaurant “hygiene” level could be better
This place makes the best pho. The broth is proper bone broth and is sooo tasty with no trace of msg, as far as I can tell. We have tried pho in many other places but always come back here for the superior broth. Even a Vietnamese friend from Sydney commented how tasty it is. She normally loads her pho up with all kinds of condiments but didn't need to here because it tasted great as is. Seating here is quite tight so we like to come early to avoid the crowd.
The best pho in town. Waiting time was acceptable for such high quality food with reasonable price. Love it.
4 stars, but would be 5 literally anywhere outside of Springvale. Gotta rank compared to the fierce pho competition of Springvale. I'll admit, I didn't order the pho (absolute nonsense), but friends said it was very good, but not the best. Broken rice was probably a solid 9/10. Sauce was good and pork chop was tender. Very satisfying for a low price.
If you can't be stuffed waiting in line for Pho Hung Vuong, just go here and you'll be fine. (You'd also be fine going to 90% of other pho restaurants in Springvale though.)
I had beef combination m size with prawn spring roll last monday.
The foods comes out quickly and soup was warm.
It is important to me that the soup is warm when
i eat rice noodles.
Location is good for desert.
We keep coming back here for great Pho in Springvale, one of the best in Melbourne! Not only is the Pho good, but the crispy chicken rice, and all the Vietnamese spring rolls. Whether it's beef, or chicken or special combination Pho, it's been consistently good, we highly recommend it!
Taste wise, this is the top pho restaurant on my list! Location wise.it’s too far from home. But it’s kind of worth it!
I had the medium size raw beef and tripe. YUM! Generous servings. The broth was a bit sweeter than the one I always had. But super yum! And it was served hot! Like a proper pho it was. The medium size cost me $11. And another $1 for extra basil leaves.
I had their ice coffee as well and was not disappointed:). Coffee and milk without sugar for $3.
PS: CASH only.
It's always been my favourite Vietnamese pho and broken rice! The noodle is very soft and thick broth. Also really nice broken rice. Not forgetting the iced coffee! Staffs are nice as well. Also a reminder that they only accepting cash.
Best bun Bo hue restaurant in all of Melbourne. I bet anyone to go there and say otherwise. Been going to this establishment for over 15 years and the food hasn't changed. Still amazing.
