Phillip Island Private Residence Club

At first glance, the villa looked alright. The flooring was a very cheap and scratched up timber but that's not a big deal. The bathrooms and beds looked clean. However, the fridge was full of greasy liquid spills, food splatter and crumbs, the inside of the microwave had food splatter, there were cobwebs everywhere and the floor needed sweeping. Unfortunately, it wasn't until after WE had dealt with all of this that I realised I should have taken photos. We later discovered the washing machine was filthy, the dryer was full of lint, the ceiling fan was filthy (fortunately it was the middle of winter so we didn't need to use it), the window frames were filthy, the rangehood was filthy, the oven had the last guest's dirty food tray in it, there was dust everywhere and the cutlery drawer (which looked like it was full of odd pieces collected at various op shops) had ratty old pieces of paper towel underneath all the cutlery.

It gets WORSE though. The two back sliding doors successfully lock to each other however the lock at the bottom which pins them to the bottom of the door frame is broken so while the doors lock to each other, they can slide together to either side and anyone could simply walk in and steal your belongings or attack you, or who knows what else. I called the "emergency" contact phone number provided with my booking and left two voicemail messages AND I sent an MMS with a video of the the problem with the doors but I never received a call or even a text reply. After three nights I left and stayed elsewhere. I've since emailed Phillip Island Private Residence Club stating my experience and surprise, surprise, I've had no response (5 days since I emailed, 7 days since calling the emergency contact number).

I stayed in villa 241.

My advice.either stay in a villa managed by Ramada (by booking with Ramada) or stay somewhere else entirely.

Loved it.so tidy, clean, with all amenities you can think off, perfect holiday resort, kids and family friendly. Made us feel home. Very courteous staff.

Great stay! Facilities have always been great. Always use the BBQ area and it's very close to attractions such as the beach or amaze n things
