Extremely professional and welcoming atmosphere. Take away food is prepared with care and attention to detail. It’s almost like eating in but at home. Excellent customer service. Food is excellent especially the pita bread, leg of lamb, fried calamari and mixed olives and warm bread is the best.

Good food. Fresh ingredients, well prepared.

Very loud place. A little too crowded. The wait staff was very busy and tried their best but we had trouble getting someone's attention to order/order dessert/ask for the bill.
Food was wonderful. I had the lamb cutlets. My partner had the king prawns. We had lukamades for dessert and my partner had some cocktails he enjoyed.

We had our sons christening here over the weekend. Philhellene is one of our favourite local Greek restaurant’s so deciding on a venue for this occasion was definitely easy. Anna (the owner) and staff went above and beyond to ensure that everything was perfect. It was a stress free event for us as Anna was organised and kept in touch prior to the christening.
Our guests did not leave hungry and neither did the children who were each given a choice of their own meal (chicken, lamb or calamari with chips and salad).
Food came out quick, full of flavour and cooked with love. Portions were generous and dessert was delicious, everyone’s favourite was definitely the ice cream halva.
Thank you for being part of our sons christening, we look forward in seeing you all again.

Man, so much great food. Left the place after helping out with both the seafood and mixed grill, as well as a leg of lamb, feeling worse for wear. Needed to go home and sleep it off.

Next time need to stick to one plate only. Be warned.

The provincial set menu is absolutely incredible - all the food is delicious and the meat was cooked just right. Service is always amazing when we visit.

Restaurant didn’t bother to separate tables for early bookings of 2 due to a later large booking so we had to sit next to other guests (1 table in between) and I found the Mixed Grill rather dry/overcooked and flavourless. For $70 it was overpriced for what looked like lamb cutlets and souvlaki burnt at a Bunnings sausage sizzle. Not recommended.

Ordered the mixed grilled and it was a bit dry with little flavour. Pricey for what was served. Gave us butter knives to cut meat. Waiters took the menu away but kept on asking if we wanted to order more food. How am I meant to know what to order when you didn’t leave me a menu to see? I wouldn’t come back and I wouldn’t recommend you go there either.

Excellent Greek food. My heritage is Greek and in general I find it difficult to find what taste like home made Greek food, I can confidently say this place is very close.

“RUDE & ABRUPT”

Upon our arrival, we were set-down by some older guy who seemed to be the OWNER, he was RUDE and ABRUPT from the beginning.

We requested a seafood platter, only to receive a plate of over cooked fish, 4 tasteless prawns and some very average tasting calamari. A serve of dip, two glasses of vine, a bowl of soggy chips, all coming to $149.

This person needs to retire and get out of the industry. He should be ashamed and embarrassed in the way he treated me, my partner and our six year old daughter.

I am a local business owner and never experienced such poor welcoming or treatment. We will NEVER be back to this restaurant due this this guys POOR service and AVERAGE food, nor will we ever recommend this place to anyone.

The best Greek food in Melbourne. Been coming here regularly for 8 years. The food isn’t like the usual carbon copy Greek restaurants in other suburbs, this is regional Greek cuisine at its best. The service is always amazing - it feels like you’re visiting relatives you haven’t seen for a while and they’re putting on an epic spread for you. Great for vegetarians too with fresh food straight from the owners garden! As long as they’re open, my wife and I will keep coming. Thank you Philhellene.

Almost a 90 minute wait to get our food. Very slow service especially for a Wednesday. Amazing dip platter.

Was recently invited to attend a milestone birthday. The staff were so accommodating and provided excellent service ensuring everyone was taken care of and had a great time.
Food was delicious. I would definitely recommend for any occasion.
We were having such a great time resulting in no photos were taken. Perhaps next time.

Was not happy with the service that I received to he honest when I walked in they didn't no I had a booking, then the table that they put me on was yucky with food under it no one cleaned it until I asked. Not good enough to he honest poor customer service and rude staff who just talk to each other and not help the customers. The food was so bad to be honest I could make some better at home I feel like I paid for nothing. Going home to eat sadly really not how I wanted to end my night buying something else to eat so not happy.

Hands down a minimum 1!

Another great afternoon at Philhellene celebrating a family birthday. The goat and the rabbit were real highlights. As was the Raki!

Have eaten in a few Greek Restaurants in Melbourne but l have to say the Greek food here is better than anywhere in Melbourne. Back to basic original home cooking from entrees to mains to desserts. Great great great experience!
