Went here for the first time l love the Egyption theme look inside and out. Food was good needed more seasoning there was salt pepper on the table so that was good. But was missing flavour. Had cheesecake later it was ok.
My daughter had a play in the playground she enjoyed it. We couldn't get the tablet room the screens to work. It difently gets busy there alot of people around l would go back seeing all the Egypt stuff is worth it also good to go somewhere different.

The food here has gotten a lot better. I had the lamb shank and it just fell off the bone, I didn't need a knife at all. Only thing is the dishes could use a bit more seasoning but there is salt and pepper on the tables which is good.

Parma, not Parmi.

Great service staff, flat beers (bottled and out of tap), and mediocre meals. Had a browning tomato as-well as wet soggy bread crumbs on my parma.

Recommend it if you’re from NSW and spell parma like a brain dead coma patient because this is the food you deserve.

Enjoyed a nice chicken snitzel and margarita pizza while sitting outside with my kids playing in the playground. Staff very friendly and helpful. Definitely coming back when in the area. Thanks

I had to organize a wake following my fathers funeral on new years eve of all times.it was really difficult finding something for a late lunch on new years eve (they were preparing for new years ever but made an exception for us).

George and 2 women whose names i have forgotten (I apologize) really helped me out and managed to organize the wake in a lovely room with an overhead projector.on the day we were running late following the funeral, pippa and george were there and really helped us out.the service and understanding by them was outstanding.the food really was amazingly good, like really good and was served very quickly.i gave a speech about my dads life in front of the overhead projector and we all ate (there were around 40 of us) had a few drinks and then left and headed down the freeway back to Melbourne.

I never would have thought of going to Pharaohs Bistro but I am glad I did they were fantastic and it was a good way to reflect and to end a sad day following a funeral.thanks

Pete

Everyone loved their meal and it was said the vegitarian dishes were the best they had ever experienced. The young staff provided the most helpful and attentive service that I have experienced in a long time, you couldn't help but feel the refreshing difference right from the first interaction with staff while ordering meals to the next staff member serving drinks behind the bar. She'd worked out from the number of drinks we ordered how many jugs we'd need saving us over $25. Then the Deal Clencher came. Are you ready for it? All the meals came out together! 5 mins after the first meal landed on the table the final meal came out and for the first time we could remember we were all eating at the same time, together, in a bistro! The next nice touch came after one of the kids noticed he had a small cut on his finger. The waitress turned into a nurse 3 or 4 times over the next 45 mins. She hurried away and quickly came back with alcohol swabs and a blue band-aid for a boy. Then she went and got her young patient and his younger cousin a cup of jelly and ice-cream but not before the young waitress asked both boys mother's for permission first. The young man who had earlier taken our orders had set the scene nicely for us, joking with those of us he had picked with a good sense of humour and suggesting the most popular dishes to those of us who having trouble making up their mind about what they were going to order and also, where possible, he carefully highlighted the similar less expensive meals if it was available on the specials board. I think his name was Tyler. Well it became evident that he had been keeping an eye on our preceedings, just as we decided it was time to ask that the cake be brought out. There was Tyler with the birthday cake with the candles lit, someone had dimmed the lights in our semi private section and even the silverware, serviettes and plates were in place on the table juat as if they'd been there the whole time. Then, just when we thought he'd thought of everything this smiling superstar started offering to take photos with everyone's phones so no one would be missing from the group's photos! Great effort guys, Our first time at the Sphinx Hotel for lunch and but certainly won't be Our last. The reason I rated it 4 stars and not 5 out of 5 has nothing to do with the meals being 20%-25% more expensive because the Service more than makes up for that but rather because the $30 I put into The Black Rhyno's gave me back nothing despite getting the free spins feature half a dozen times! Oh well I probably should of played Queen of the Nile! It would've been more fitting anyway. See you sooner rather than later at The Sphinx Hotel.

This place used to be really good. The food was delicious and worthy. Now the food is bland and tasteless. Went there last night salad was just lettuce. Chips had no taste and scotch fillet was flat under cooked and tasteless also.

If you like drab pokie venues, you will adore this place. No class but cheap eats for greys
