Went for breakfast this morning, my partner and I both got the 'Big Breakie' with a side of beans (homemade baked beans which tasted very wholesome), they were nearly the best bit! Lovely staff, the breakfast was honestly delicious, fresh orange juice also! Would definitely recommend and go again! Thanks again!

Ordered avocado on toast with fried eggs (had requested fried eggs) as the original recipe said poached, the guy on the counter said oh we can definitely do fried eggs, when the order came through got poached eggs. Ordered for a mocha, got a cappuccino told the guy on the counter he said oh sorry and just hot me a chocolate sauce on the side to make my own mocha! What away to ruin the morning.

So It's been one heck of a year. So you can imagine my enthusiasm to come back to the cafe where it all began. It is to my dismay to inform you all. "The Benny" is gone.

We returned twice after COVID hoping to see The Benny in all its glory. To have our tastebuds touched by an angel once more. It seems the cook has either changed, or those wonderous drops of balsamic reduction and pesto have packed up and moved away.

I beg of you if you read this review, please inform me when they have returned from their holiday.

I dont usually write reviews, but buckle in for this bad boy.

Atmosphere here is great for a sunday brunch catch up with family or friends.

Ordered the Eggs Benedict, "Benny" they call it and my lord was it good.
The poached eggs were the best eggs I have ever laid my eyes on. Wasnt sure if I was going to eat them or propose to them. Everything about the meal was delicious right down to the little drops of garnish on the side.

Ordered a Caramel lattè and low and behold.you bet your bottom dollar it was great.

Service here is friendly and don't pester you about how your food tastes during your first mouthful.

Now.for the payment.greeted with friendly staff once again and to my surprise didnt have to sell a kidney.

All in all, would I recommend this place? You bet ya I would. Will I come back? Definitely.

Stopped here for lunch, free drink with lunch. Good menu, I had some chicken strips & salad that was very nice. Will go back.

We had a great experience at this cafe this morning. The food is delicous and the perfect mix of decadent, fresh and yummy! The freshly squeezed juice was inviting to drink. The serving staff and chef are very friendly. I would highly recommend you eat here. Thankyou for our great start to the day.

Perfect for us. Ample seating. The second day we went for breakfast it was busier but still wasn't 'loud'. Enjoyed the soft piano music and comfy decor. Staff were efficient and friendly. Coffee great and the chef cooks up delicious breakky fare. A cheery place amongst a grey Melbs cityscape.

Terribly slow service and would not take responsibility only playing the blame game. Ordered on Doordash and waited over an hour for my order to my dismay and the waiters didn't even bother to check on my food or give me an update until I asked repeatedly. Only tried to make amends once I raised a complaint but by then it's too late.

Best coffee and do a mega size. Made this our go to for coffee for the whole week we were in Melbourne. Breakfast great too!

It doesn't look like much from outside, but the food is incredible and the service is pretty good too - food came out fast.

I'm typically not a big fan of greens, but the chicken salad was so delicious that I ended up eating more salad in that single meal that I did in the entire year. The chicken was flavourful and the salad was a refreshing contrast to the savoury cut.

Solid food, and some decent specials All day breakfast is always appreciated. The relish on the burger was delicious!

Visited here a few times and always had great customer service. The poached eggs on sourdough is just great. Prices are what is expected and they also serve a nice Latte too.

Great breakfasts, very friendly & mostly happy staff. Have been there twice & the consistency was the same. Would definitely recommend this cafe.

Service was terrible. Completely ignored by 1 staff member. Our drinks went to the wrong table, water arrived after 1 meal and 1 drink finally arrived and we were then asked if we wanted to order anything. Paid for what was received but won't be going back.

I wanted a place I can sit down and unwind a bit with coffee and a light breakfast, yet not in the middle of QV Market, and I found it. This small cafe was the perfect spot. Great coffee, and tasty food (I went for the eggs and bacon in a roll) with friendly staff Within a short walk from the market, makes for a perfect way to kill some time.

Great food and service. Had "Phancy start", delicious and very filling serving size. Latte was hot and tasty, great atmosphere.
