Phaedrus Estate reviews
29Thanks for having our group of 10 on Saturday, we loved the wine, the whole tastings experience itself and the lovely owner's. Good luck with the business!
Had planned to arrive 230pm and confirmed via phone call two days prior but when we arrived the cellar door was completely empty, no car in the car park and all the two of them could say is “we were expecting you in the morning. ” and behaved in a manor that made us feel exceptionally inconvenient to them, even rolling their eyes at each other. At the end of the day, between us we bought 10+ bottles, a little positivity or ambience wouldn’t have hurt. Honestly, how hard is it to turn in on for ten minutes? The comments and initial behaviour served who exactly?
Rude.
The cheese platter here was incredible! Highly recommended for any cheese lover. The wine was lovely too.
Difficult to choose as all the wines were excellent. Great harvest celebration & friendly service.
We had a group of 6 on Saturday and were thoroughly blown away by the place! The owners are very friendly and knowledgeable. Great selection of wines, very reasonably priced, delicious cheese platters to go with and you can purchase by the glass or bottle and enjoy it looking over the vines after you've done the tasting! Will be coming more frequently now!
Place is great. Though wine selection is slightly limited wines are great. Cheese platter was amazing a must get!
Beautiful wines and reasonably priced. Cellar door was very friendly and knowledgeable. I highly recommend this winery. I believe they have been running the winery for 18 years.
Four of us visited this afternoon and had a lovely time tasting a couple of wines and chatting with the owner/wine maker. He was very knowledgeable and pleasant to talk to. My grandparents are quite the connoisseurs when it comes to wine and they really enjoyed the cellar door and wines. We bought one to take away and are currently enjoying it with some cheese and crackers.
It's a neat little shop/cellar door. Much more rustic and authentic than a couple of other places we visited that day. We all thought that there was a lot more love that went in to this property and its wines, when compared to other places we visited that day. We would definitely go back and recommend visiting!
