PETstock Vet Carrum Downs

If you are looking for a very reliable vet in the Frankston/Dandenong areas, then I can thoroughly recommend Petstock at Carrum Downs. Ultra professional at all times. I have been taking my rag Doll Ande there for the past 14 years.

Staff were amazing, Vet was absolutely perfect. The info was given upfront without prompting, all the options for my littles ones care and surgery were given in full details, all the after care and recovery information was explained very carefully to ensure a speedy recovery. My new favourite Vet clinic, will definitely be using them for all my pet care needs in the future. Well done to all involved in running such a fantastic clinic.

My first visit to this vet clinic here and the Vet dealing with my little companion, who thinks he is a BIG dog and lets you know it, was very caring and helpful.
Over the years I have used many of the Vets in the Frankston area for my dogs and cats but in the end always been a problem so have never been back. With my new little mate and the attention from here he's getting back to being "a big DOG" again.

The vets at petstock are lovely. Kind and caring to the pets they see, explain the problems and treatment required. All the staff there have always been very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend them. They have cared for our dog since day one and have always shared valuable advice.

Her vet was Dr Nicole who was just wonderful. You can immediately tell she genuinely cares and was very sympathetic. What a lovely person.

I have been a customer of this vet since they first opened in the location on the corner of Hall Road & Frankston - Dandenong Road. Up until this year we mostly had great experiences.
So much so that even though we had moved further away we kept making the drive back. This year we have seen some different vets and not been very confident in them and as such made a decision to change to a new vet. As with the longer trip there and loss of confidence, it made sense to find something closer to home. Dr Albert (who we have generally had a great experience with) said we could have our pets history sent to us so we could transfer to a new vet. We have since followed up several times over the last few weeks (in person at an appointment we had scheduled, as well as multiple calls and in writing. We kept getting advised it will be done right away, by X time, and they never come through. We've actually had this experience before when requested additional information for the pet insurer to get a claim paid (and found it took multiple calls to get the details they requested).

We've now escalated to Petstock head office. I understand being busy, short staffed, but we have made several requests over a period of nearly 1 month and its now become urgent as its not been actioned. In fact we've felt compelled to leave this review after today being promised "right away" an definitely by 12pm to which neither occurred, and is not the first time this has happened.

Note: if we could have continued to only see Dr Albert or Dr Tamara, we'd likely have stayed put.

Excellent vet clinic. It was a great experience for me dealing with the most amazing vet and nurse team with compassion and experiences. It was a very difficult and dark period for us to see our baby/dog going through the life threatening situation with complex and multiple underlying issues coupled with the old age. We almost lost him but he pulled through with the support and care from this clinic. We couldn't be more grateful to the team here and their support during this time. Dr Albert Lim is transparent, reliable and provided reasonable solutions depending on the condition of your pet and how far the owner wants to proceed with the procedures. With the vet advice on the care moving forward, my dog had recovered and doing very well at the moment with no further episode, having a quality life and bouncing around.

Absolutely number one vet. Extremely caring and thoughtful with all my fur babies. Also have afterpay available. Highly recommend.

We took our family dog of 14 years on the Monday as she was sick and very weak, the first vet was really nice and diagnosed her with pancreatitis but sent us home to observe her until symptoms got worse as observation over night at the vet was way too costly. The Thursday morning our dog started to tremble and we knew it was time to say goodbye. We took her in as soon as we saw her symptoms had progressed. Just before she was brought in to be euthanised a nurse by the name of Saraid came in an accused my entire crying family, including 3 children of undergoing acts of animal cruelty as we didn’t bring her in sooner. She said those words as we waited to put our family dog down and without knowing we were sent home 4 days before just to observe until symptoms worsened. It was SO inappropriate and utterly disgusting that she thought we would let our pup suffer like she was the morning we took her in to be put down. Only minutes before she was put down were we even told that what she had was almost always going to be fatal. She was given no medication, only 24 hour pain relief. I would never recommend seeing Saraid if you are ever going to be treated how myself and my family were treated moments before our beloved 14 dog was put down.

The Veterinarian team at Petstock Carrum Downs were kind, friendly and helpful.
In particular Saraid went above and beyond to ensure I felt informed and supported during my experience with them. Nothing was to much trouble, they were always available to help me with any question I had.
I will not hesitate to return to, or recommend this vet clinic. They have been amazing.

I don't often post reviews but I'm just so happy with the service I've received that I needed to share.
I wouldn't choose to take my animals to any other vet! The team at PetStock Vet Carrum Downs is amazing. They took great care of my dog when he needed to have surgery. I was nervous about leaving him there because he gets anxious around strangers but all the staff were great towards him! It was awesome to see him comfortable in the environment when we picked him up. The prices for vet visits and surgery was extremely good value and I'd happily recommend them to any other pet owner.
I've been to many vets were I've found the staff to be quite judgemental and rude, whereas the staff at Petstock are extremely helpful and have always been very kind, as well as answering any and all of our questions thoroughly.

Staff are wonderful and very caring. I foster kittens and cats with Meow Rescue and the PETStock team, veterinary and store are very accommodating and caring. I would recommend anyone to use.

On Monday my German Shepherd was at your Carrum Downs vet clinic. She was incredibly unwell, the Vet asked me to do some blood tests, which came back fine. However the area in which he shaved to take the bloods has now become infected. There was no dressing put on the area and the area was not cleaned prior to the bloods being taken. I rang the clinic this morning, Nicole answered the phone. I explained to her what was going on and even emailed this picture. She told me to bring her down but I would need to pay for another consult. Needless to say I was flabbergasted at this comment, considering I had spent nearly $400 on Monday, and I believe this problem has occurred because of taking bloods. I explained to her that I have no money, and that I believe the clinic should see her based on this problem occurred from her visit. I was calm with her however she began raising her voice telling me to pay or tough luck and promptly hung up the phone!

I could understand if this was a seperate issue from Monday’s visit but it certainly isn’t. Needless to say I will never be setting foot in that clinic ever again, and I will be telling my family and friends who go to your clinics to steer clear because it seems you are only in it for the money, and not for the genuine care of animals
