Had a terrible experience with staff at hawksburn village the other day. $70 of veal schnitzel requested does not equal $70 of veal cutlets or veal on bone which we returned after getting home. We have been coming to Bouchiers for years. Sadly DJs in city closed however staff at Malvern Central fantastic. Can't say same for hawksburn village store after the attitude on returning our order which was not reconfrimed or shown to verify. Not knowledgeable enough and one women extremely rude and condescending saying it was our fault 4 times! Not the experience we know from Malvern and previously DJs. Think it is time for Hawksburn to review their staff, up train and change the layout. Apart from this quality great just need some fine tuning and cut meat for clients as they request not just mainstream standards that are not always what a client seeks from a butcher and a butcher of this calibre. And when asked for a particular type make sure it is what the client has asked. The backchat from this woman was incredulous. Continous smart comments that it was our fault on return. We simply wanted a resolutio. Back to basics please and with pleasantries. But we won't be back to this store. The client is not always right but a client should not be treated like a school child and blamed. There are two sides to every concern.

High quality meat. Absolutely amazing Pre marinated meats. If you want to impress, this is the place. Don’t expect cheap, it’s not cheap but well worth it.

Steaks not worth $18. When I spend $18 on a steak, I expect it to not go brown the next day, which these seem to. They’re also not automatically vacuum sealed & tiny.

The quality of their foods are amazing. Very fresh and wonderfully tasty. Their sausages are superb.

Very rude staff, unpleasant experience trying to make a purchase. Unfortunate, because their products are OK.

EXCELLENT ONLINE ORDERING EXPERIENCE
I needed bulk amounts of meat for a New Year Eve BBQ and Peter Bouchier came to the rescue.
Their website is intuitive and easy to use. The range of meats and ready-made dishes is very extensive with good descriptions of items.
I opted for delivery and the food arrived very well packed in insulated chilled boxes.they have a tracking app so you can see where your delivery driver is at any time.
The food quality is substantially better than regular supermarket meat and is freshly packed so you get maximal shelf life.
Its a bit more expensive than supermarkets but its worth it for the enhanced quality.

This is the only place my family buys meat from. Best quality and the lady behind the counter was extremely helpful and friendly. Excellent butcher

Not really one to write reviews, but this butcher is so good. Just so impressed with the products, did a second order for the week. Can't get enough. Hope they put their full range online, that would be awesome.

Peter Bouchier has great Meat & Poultry & Great small good most of all great recipes on line too and I have had look in two of peter bouchier shop 1 in Toorak in Malvern RD and in the David Jones city food hall.

The first and last time I’ll shop here. Firstly, waited 20 minutes to be served and then told I needed a ticket and was refused service. I actually searched for the ticket machine and couldn’t see it anywhere. Gary’s Meats at Prahran market are providing a much better service.

Best butcher in town. Excellent quality meats and great service. I think I would cry if they ever stopped making their Moroccan sausages!

Amazing meat at very reasonable prices. Very friendly and accommodating staff too. I make the trip well out of my way just to come here, always worth it! My regular order of eye filet steak, beef mince and crumbled chicken schnitzel never disappoints.

Exceptional quality meat - I've tried the tbone and ribeye. The prices are comparable to other butchers but this is my favourite butcher in Melbourne.

Great butcher, a littler pricey but very helpful and good quality. If they don't stick something just ask they will be able to order it in.

Really good quality comes at a price. If you are prepared to pay then this is the place! Try the Minted Lamb Cutlets. Divine.
