The staff were very friendly and helpful so I really appreciated that aspect of the service however, I’m fairly certain the scissors my hairdresser used were blunt, or of poor quality because the ends of my hair after the cut are as damaged as the ends I had cut off. Quite disappointed considering I would need another haircut to remove the damage.

Worst fringe I’ve ever had. Very chunky and uneven, staff was very nice which makes it hard to write a bad review but they did not do a good job… very disappointed: (

As a newbie to Melbourne I thought I’d try a funky hair salon near work for my next colour and cut. Being with the same wonderful hairdresser in Sydney for 15 years I was a tad nervous. But Mandy put me at ease from the get go. I felt I’d known her for years. Indeed the whole team at Petasimone is like family and very inclusive.
And the end product is WONDERFUL! I love my hair, I have much more confidence and I’m getting some great compliments about my hair.
I think I’ve found my new Best Hairdresser!

I'm not one for posting reviews but this warrants one. Yesterday afternoon I got the worst hair cut ever. I am so embarrassed, my hair is ruined and I will need to tie it back and won't be able to wear it down for months now. It is all uneven, short disgusting layers and it can't be fixed unless my hair is cut really short to cut out the uneven layers. Would not recommend at all. Waste of $70.

If you are looking for a great cut and colour in a very relaxing environment then this is your place. The staff here are all extremely good at what they do. Highly recommend giving them a try.

Petasimone offer a great service. Their shop is always bustling but super welcoming - their whole team greets you when you walk in. Lucy does an amazing job every time. I've gone in with both specific requests and very vague ones, and she's always managed to deliver. She's amazing at creating out-of-the-ordinary colours and thinning out my thick, wavy hair.
Definitely need to book, especially for a Saturday appointment; they take bookings either over the phone or using their handy online web form.

I can't rate Lucy and the team highly enough. Highly-skilled, overly conscientious and just overall a delight to sit with for hours whilst having my hair done. I would trust Lucy with all aspects- cut, colour or style. Highly recommended.

My experience with Jasmine the salon manager, has always been a positive and rewarding one. I have wavey, thick, unruly hair and can’t stand styling products. As a result I have had negative experiences with bad men’s cuts over the years at different salons.
Jasmine right away knew exactly what I needed, suggesting a dry cut for me. Her confidence and experience really put my mind at ease, and I always love the result. I can’t recommend her enough. Friendly, and professional. Thanks jasmine
