Petaling Street reviews
66 The lunch special is incredible value - $10 for a full, steaming plate of fried rice noodles. I prefer my rice noodles a little more charred but this is a personal preference. At this price point, I can't fault the dish.
The server was able to manage my dietary requirements perfectly. He was polite and attentive. Our food was prepared extremely quickly and was piping hot on arrival.
Delicious flavours throughout all the dishes shared. Clams with chilli, marmite pork chops, homemade tofu with broccoli and char kway teow. The highlight being the ice Kachang! Thanks Kim, a great host.
Been coming here for 10 years. The service and food has always been great. The manager has been around for a long time and always very nice and polite. They staff is always great. We will keep coming back!
My mum is currently visiting Penang and making me jealous by sharing photos of her foodie holiday. Had to drop by Petaling Street to quench my Malaysian hunger. The char Keow Teow was seriously yummy and the fried chicken nasi lemak so generous we couldn't finish it.
I love this place, the owner is Malaysian and very friendly and funny too.
The food is delicious especially their Thai fish.
Tried this place today after failing to find Glen mama. Nice surprise had good stuff like chicken congee with century egg, steamed fish cooked with 5 different sauces, CKT, clams cooked with different sauces, assam laksa was spécial if the day but by then we had ordered our food, Chinese coffee - bitter and sweet
Will come again to try out other dishes. The ones we had were pretty good
Great service with friendly staff. Food was quite delicious but very westernised as it lacked that Malaysian aroma/spice/flavour kick.
But was still a lovely meal
Nice Malaysian and Singaporean dish.
Follow up review 24/7/23.this outlet has been on Kingsway for a long time and it's starting to show its age. Food is still good, but the quality of other Malaysian outlets in the area has caught up. Price is no longer cheap too.
Always my favourite spot to eat. Use to come a lot when we are living closer and now that we moved far we couldn’t come often. Craved to have their nonya fish and came today. Very disappointed, the fish was not a regular fish, fish was full or bones and very Less flesh. Asked for more sauce, waiteress wrote more sauce and even mention that when she was repeating our order. But fish came with no sauce. Deep fried fish with sauce one side, and the other side of size doesn’t have any sauce, took a photo of it but I couldn’t upload here for some reason, when eating the other side of the fish felt like eating plain fried fish. Asked for more sauce and the waitresses said no can’t do as it’s count as a portio, I wish I knew that when she took the order it self. Not coming back.
Taste average. Portion is sufficient and good value. Although the bean curd and pork mince rice is a tad disappointing. Not much taste and a few errands of prom mince swimming in the gravy. Curry laksa was good. Pork spare ribs with parking sauce, I had better ones in the past.
A quick fix of Malaysian hawker food! Really enjoy the dishes. Probably between 70-80% authentic but still a good feed!
My favourite restaurant for Malaysian Foods! I love their duck egg char kuey teow with "wok hei", pipi and signature tou fu. Sorry, didn't happened to take photos because I' a regular customer there. Lol. However, I love their friendly staff there too! Highly recommend if you craving for Malaysia foods!
Delicious and affordable food. The waitress was so funny and gave us advice to choose the recommended foods
Ate here Sunday afternoon, really enjoyed my time here, food came out quickly even though we were a big group, very friendly service:) food is great! Will return again, thanks!
Excellent service! One of the staff members/owner/manager was extremely nice and made my daughter's day.
Food is reasonably priced and variety of choices. We ordered the fried fish with their special sauce and sea food fried rice.
PETALING STREET MALAYSIAN CHINESE is located in the Kingsway Food Precinct and is one of our most favourite Chinese restaurants for larger family gatherings.
The Manager, Kim, is surely the Best Ambassador for this particular Petaling Street outlet. He knows all the dishes so well and is always able to make great food suggestions.
We really appreciate his warm welcome and professional approach and are very pleased to strongly recommend both Kim, his experienced staff, and importantly his Petaling Street Malaysian Chinese restaurant for your attention.
It's a hit or miss at times. I like this petaling branch more than other branches, but sometimes the taste is inconsistent. That being said, love the XO clam with Chinese doughnut and the tofu egg hotplate!
Worst customer service ever! Rude staff and extremely slow service. When we politely asked regarding our food, waiter snapped at us and told us to calm down! The restaurant wasn’t even busy and had quite a number of empty tables. Won’t ever step foot here. No respect shown to customers.
Nice place to be,
We understand have to wait bit more than before.haven't see enough staff after pandemic.even I saw worst and rude customers attitude toward to poor staff last week while foods get late. I feel sorry for them.
