Don't bother using this place. I have used this service a couple of times with mixed results. The majority of times the items that have been requested to be fixed, have not been done right, and there is a need to revisit the store to fix up errors. Prices are very high too. I used to recommend them, but will no longer do so. Find a more reputable store to do your alterations. If I could give this store no stars, I would.

I took a very old, silk skirt which needed the waste band brought in to fit me. This meant undoing the side zipper and unfolding and redoing some of the waste band as well as more stitching down the skirt to account for the adjustment. It is SUPERB. You wouldn’t know it had work done and it fits PERFECTLY. She didn’t need to speak much English. She pinned it on me, I left it there a couple of days, went back and it was flawless. The most beautiful, light, silk skirt from approximately the 1940’s. I have now taken another cheaper, modern basic dress there to go from very loose to being a fitted dress, I will pick it up tomorrow.
Prices are also very very reasonable in comparison to other quotes I got. Other places either said they could not fix the silk skirt or wanted to charge $55 or more and said they couldn’t do it through the waste band. The Perfit lady didn’t even flinch at the job. Was happy to take it and did it perfectly for approximately $30.

Shocking place for alterations. Took pants in with broken zip. She said no problem l will change the head. Come back 1 hour. We went back and I asked for the broken head and she said it had been thrown out. I suspected she
didn't change it at all and just tightened it. We got home tried them on and it broke straight away. We went back the next day and asked her to do it again and provide the broken head. She did and was very rude. DO NOT USE THEM THEY ARE SHONKY!

I got my Scanlan and Theodore dress altered here and they didn’t even do it properly. Terrible service and didn’t fix my dress properly. They charged me $55 to sew to straight stitches on the side and didn’t even bother unpicking or overlooking the seams. Resulted in bulky sides. I even asked her to fix it and she said it can’t be done.wondering why she didn’t tell me prior to paying. RIP OFF! Trust the bad reviews here!

Terrible terrible terrible- needed a simple hem taken up on a dress - said they needed to be careful that they don’t create a bubble as it was a slightly stretch fabric. Well of course when collected then hem has a visible ridge all they way around and the sewing was not even straight. When shown the lady just dismissed me and said it was good and walked away and would not talk to me. Do not take anything there EVER - they have ruined my dress and do not care.

Don't fall for the convenience trap! Took a skirt to be altered. Was told to collect in 4 days. Called a day prior to collecting to ensure skirt was ready- told would be ready. Turned up on the day. Another worker with even less English language communication skills pulled the skirt out and just shrugged. Couldn't even communicate to her that I wanted my money back! Went back a couple of days later. Skirt was complete but not to a satisfactory standard. Machining was not straight and plenty of loose threads were all over the garment.
Take my advice- find a reputable tailor don't waste your time here!

I went to have a brand-new Hugo Boss Suit (still had the tags attached) altered, which I'd purchase for my wedding in November 2017.
This business/service was recommended by Myer Highpoint Suit department, when purchasing a new shirt to go with my suit, and I was given a flyer for their service.
When I arrived at ‘Perfit Alterations’ the sign said $16 to hem pants, but because of the specific way I wanted the pants hemmed, I was charged $35.
I’ve owned many an expensive suit over the years, so I was very clear in my instructions on how the pants were to be treated, as they were pure new wool. The lady said she understood, reassuring me there was nothing to worry about, saying I could return in an hour and a half to collect the pants.
Upon returning, the lady explained that the pants weren’t ready yet and to give her another 20 minutes. The challenge was that she was so hungry to get every customer, she wasn’t actually spending anytime attending to any actual work.
After a further 20 minutes I returned, and the pants were completed. I took one look at them and you could see the stitching all along the bottom, it looked terrible. I was shocked and explained it was clear she had over heated the pants when pressing them and her stitching had shrunk, thus giving the pants a rippled effect at the bottom.
In hindsight this is when I should have called it a day, because it just got worst from this point on.
The lady realised her alterations was below par, and asked I give her another 15 minutes. I explained that woollen pants should never be over heated when pressing them, as this causes damage which can never be fix.
The lady who was altering my pants said she’d undo the stitching and start again. This time I decided to hang around, rather than just walk off. Once the lady thought I was out of sight I saw her take my pants over to her ironing board and start to steam them again and again.
I walked over and asked her to stop, I explained she was damaging a new suit by overheating the wool. I reminded her that she had said she was going to replace the stitching, not continue steaming my pants despite my earlier protest.
Again, she assured me there was nothing to worry about and asked me to leave it with her, so I did, but again I stayed within viewing distance, only to watch her continue to steam my pants with the same iron.
This was the final straw, I walked over and asked to speak to her manager, but she tried to tell me the pants were o.k. And that she was the owner and there was no one else.
The pants were so badly damaged they look ridiculous at the bottom, and unfortunately can’t be repaired. What’s worst is I had to wear this suit for my wedding, and as a result of the damage I will never wear it again.
This business has no real understanding of how to listen to the customer and the importance of taking care, with what was a brand new $1000 suit, despite clear instructions.
To add insult to injury, the ‘lady/owner’ wasn’t interested in compensating me for the damaged she caused, nor did she offer to refund the $35 she charged me to destroy my pants.
If you have any clothing you value, please don’t take it to Perfit Alterations.

Realised my wedding pants didnt fit the day I was flying out! Got a new pair of pants and a shirt and they were tailored perfectly within a few hours for a very reasonable price. Highly recommend them. Saved me!
