Have been here a couple of times for drag trivia Wednesdays and have had a great time both times.

The Tuna Melt is so good that all of my thoughts, aspirations, memories and dreams went out the window. The only thing on my mind was the Tuna Melt. I can’t stress enough how good the Tuna Melt is. Remember that scene in Ratatouille when the critic remembers their childhood because the food was so good? Yeah, that.

Edit: just been told that the new owner’s have decided to stop doing live music which has left a sour taste in place of the lovely tuna melt

Absolute quality venue. Inclusive for all genders and mobilities. Great food, reasonably priced drinks, really damn good vibe.

Only been here once. They have local musicians and artists perform, which is quite nice. Pool table available near the bar. Entry is free which is quite nice.

Not much to say other than that its good.
Needs quicker drink service, cleaner toilets and floors and more ashtrays for smokers.

Such a nice vibe, the bartender with the black hair have me such warm service and recommendations, I think her name was Amy, on Sunday, will definetly be back!

Great food, great vibes, and fantastic stuff. Lots of outdoor space, and indoor space. Kind of resembles Bridie O Reilleys on Chapel St, but make it Brunswick.

It's good. But the alcohol is too expensive. The internet connection is slow and we need to order from the website scanning the QR instead of menu, which is not convineant.

The vibe deserves the 4 stars but for me, and just my opinion, the food was just ok.

I ordered the beef sando hoping for the soft white fluffy Japanese sando you’d get in Kyoto. But alas, the bread was lightly toasted. Perhaps it wasn’t super soft white and fluffy to start with, but for me that was enough of a disappointment and one reason I wouldn’t go specifically to eat.

On the plus side the vibe was chilled, the staff super friendly and awesome. Definitely will return for beers and chilled vibe. Good sounds, good bar service, not too overpriced for beers, and worth hanging out and drinking beers in their pup friendly garden bar.

Nice staff, vibes are okay, but the food is really overpriced and small portions. Spend $60 between my partner and I and we went home hungry ‍️

Amazing to have a refreshed iconic venue back in town for Brunny! LOVE the Japanese menu. Beer, japanese drinking food and soon to be live music. What a combo!

The high quality service, food and cool vibe mean we've added this place firmly on to our list of favs. Our group had a ball, the food was delicious and surprisingly authentic with just a little fusion in the mix. We will definitely be back.

Came here tonight on opening night & sadly the eve of the 5th lockdown in Melbourne. Food was delicious! Lots of Veggie & meat options. Food was hot, full of flavour & excellent value for money. Wine was also very good. PLUS service was extra friendly & attentive - really lovely vibe as soon as we walked in. Definitely recommend Penny’s & look forward to coming back post this lock down. Please support this new business in the heart of Sydney Road in what is obviously a very challenging time for Hospitality.

Kicked me out for being intoxicated when I wasn't. Bar staff unreasonable and wouldn't listen. Rude and obnoxious. Do not recommend. You might be kicked out for not looking mainstream enough.

Waiting 20 mins at the bar for a drink is just unacceptable. Saturday day staff at 4.15 obviously not enough employees. Really disappointing and would definitely not recommend! Steer clear
