Pennyroyal Raspberry Farm & Cidery reviews
20Whilst their berries are excellent, their updating of information about opening hours is pathetic. Five times now, I have gone out of my way to visit, after checking web sites and then following their signs on the way advertising this tourist attraction, to be met at the gate with a 'Closed' notice. Please, please, find the time to update your road signs with this info so that we don't have to waste time. This has happened too many times, so I have advised friends of this. Don't call the phone number as you only get a recorded message telling you to send an SMS
Such a great place to visit and enjoy picking your own blackberry and raspberry and have nice treat at the cafe. Loved it!
I like this farmvery nice athmospher of relax. I feel like i was on farm my grandmother, very cozy, tasty raspberries (notka) in cafe was little bit expansive 16$ for wrap chicken but was tasty
Stumbled upon this while driving to Warrnambool and had great fun picking raspberries and blackberries for the first time in my life.
If you love berries visit this place. You can pick the berries yourself and buy them. It's a nice farm land in the hill. They have a cafe too. The road from the Apollo bay to this place is just awesome drive. But Be very careful when you drive here as it's a small road but a wonderful drive with hair pin bends slippery road if it's raining
Highly recommend for a day trip! New staff are so friendly and there are so many berries to pick!
Beautiful place to pick berries, along with great coffee. Lovely staff, also highly recommend the cider!
What a spot to spend a December day. Got a great haul of delicious, organic berries and had a beautiful lunch. Great food, great coffee. The berry crepes are incredible. Also had the Crucible board and Crucible cider which were delicious. The new owners have made this place something very special. Can’t wait to visit again.
This is a beautiful berry farm where you can pick raspberries, bramble berries, boysenberries, red currants and more! The cafe has delicious platters, cakes and coffees and the farm shop is stocked with jams, chutneys, relishes and a selection of gifts. You can buy bunches of rhubarb too. It makes a great day trip from Melbourne or easy drive from Lorne, Wye River or Apollo Bay.
Had the most wonderful morning collecting oodles of berries, followed by the most delicious scones I've ever had. It's a gorgeous spot to while away the morning with young kids, and I can't wait to come back!
Such a delightful place for a day trip. The new owners of this farm and Cafe are incredibly friendly. Great coffee and food. Will be returning for cocktails on a hot day!
Friendly staff, delicious food, wonderful view and lots of bird song to accompany the experience. Highly recommend.
What a awesome place, fresh raspberries and other berries, cider was great, definitely worth a try. Beautiful hidden away place.
Heaps of beautiful ripe fruit available for picking, which makes a fantastic day out. The scones with bramble berry and raspberry jam were perfect after walking through the rows of berries, and even paired with a cider tasting board (which I’ll agree is a strange combo) was a delight. The farm doggo is a cutie and we wish we had brought our dog Lola along because it’s dog friendly. I ended up getting a small bottle of blackberry gin and a jar of jam to bring home. One of my favourite activities of our five day trip to the Otways.
A great spot to visit during the berry season. We've made this an annual pilgrimage. It used to be part of our trip to the otways with friends now it's a fun day out with the kids. Friendly staff, relaxing location, sooo many berries to choose from. The cafe is small but has some nice things to fill you up, only a few gluten free items. Their cider is worth a try as well. Check the berry report on their website to see what's picking before you come.
Great farm & good experience for picking my own berry. And you staff friendly we will back.
Great day out with the family. Something for everyone. Berry picking for the kids.and superb apple and pear ciders for the big kids that are made on site.
Misleading signs at the main road, driving kilometres to be welcomed by a CLOSED sign. 11am Friday. Don't bother.
We visited the Penny Royal Raspberry Farm and Cidery for a winery tour I had organised on my birthday and it was one of the highlights of the trip. We all loved the warmth and hospitality shown by Mike and Katrine for our visit. The cider and gin tastings and food to accompany the tastings were great! Will be back to visit and happily recommend to other people thinking of stopping by!
What a rude, horrible man. I took my lovely parents to take a look while we were holidaying in the area. We thought it might be fun but were treated so rudely when we showed up, like uninvited guests. And when my father asked a couple of questions, the white haired man with glasses sneered at him like he was a moron. I don’t really see the point in being so horrible but I sure as hell won’t be going back and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone else. Having anything to do with such an unpleasant person can ruin an otherwise lovely day.
