We love popping in for a quick coffee, the staff are so warm, welcoming and fun. Always a bonus when you find a great book to buy.

Good coffee, good service n good toasties especially with special home made pickles. Wht more can u ask for.

I visited Penny and a Pickle recently and just wanted to say the service was fantastic! I believe it was Tae and Steph on shift, these girls were amazing and super welcoming. Coffees were great as always! The atmosphere was amazing and the girls seemed to really care about us customers! Will definitely be back!

I went here on Saturday and the girls who were working were amazing! They were super helpful and talkative and they answered every question we had! They made my day so much better after a chat with them. They made me feel welcomed and comfortable! I was able to get the best coffee I have ever had and will definitely be back! Also LOVE the croffles!

I’ve never had the luxury of saying this before but I can attribute my now ‘coffee snob’ status to Matty due to the incredible quality of his coffee! Like a regular hairdresser, penny and a pickle has become my regular cafe by choice and I’ll always recommend Penny over the rest! Thanks for your outstanding quality of food, coffee and staff!

Exactly the charming little Cafe you came to the mountains to find. Fantastic coffee, sweet treats, cosy atmosphere and a little bookshop in the back it's fast becoming my regular.

Try to get in soon, they have a special Kenyan blend that tastes like choc-berry mixed with an extra 2 hours of sleep.

I have visited now 5 or 6 times and every visit is beyond wonderful.

The attention to detail on the coffee is elite, and it's delicious. The books and plants available are hand selected and I never walk out without a new read. The bubble tea is delish. And the rotating toasties and snacks have yet to be less than perfect. I had a bahn mi this week and it rivals Springvale for taste.

None of this really matters though, because the team are the nicest guys you could ever come across. Its always relaxed and the community spirit oozes out the team. Come for the chat, stay for the snacks.

The dedication to being biodegradable and/or compostable and environmentally/ethically smart is just a bonus.

You'd be silly not to grab a coffee and bite next time you're in town.

A refreshing front window cafe with delicious food and beverages to choose from. Their gift shop area and library is awesome, wish I could take everything home. Try the pork bahn mi if that's your flavour! It feels so good being able to recycle all the packaging in their compost bin out the front. It's so empowering to support local.

The most friendly staff you will ever meet. The coffee is amazing and the atmosphere is really laid back and chill. Great little spot!
