A family cantered approach where respect, kindness and care are the core of how they work. Thank you for treating my son like family.

This childcare centre has exceeded all my expectations as a first time mum.
The staff are extremely caring and approachable and their communication is fantastic! I am very happy that I have my son attending this centre because I fully trust he is given the best care possible.

My son has been going to Pelican Newbury for over a year now. We find Pelican being one of the best. From day 1 Pelican had a very welcoming atmosphere with every staff member so warm and friendly. I feel so confident leaving my son there knowing he gets the best care. The amount of activities Pelican provides the kids with is outstanding. It is always an exciting day for the kids there. The management team and everyone at the front desk is so professional and welcoming.
Thank you to all the Pelican team for a great experience both for us as parents and our son!

"I had the pleasure of doing my bachelor's placement at Pelican childcare Newbury centre in the baby room with Gurwinder and Minni, and I must say that the experience was fantastic. The staff at the centre are incredibly helpful, friendly and professional, which made the overall experience enjoyable. The centre manager is doing an amazing job in managing the centre, and it shows in the quality of care provided to the children. I also had the opportunity to work with Kindergarten teacher Holy, who was an excellent supervising teacher who was always willing to impart her knowledge and expertise. Overall, I would highly recommend Pelican childcare Newbury centre to parents who are looking for a high-quality childcare centre for their children. "

My son has been going here for 2 years. The staff is incredible. When we were all in lockdown his instructor called me to check in on my son, and ask how he was (I thought that was so sweet) was so lovely to hear they missed him and all the kids. My son loves them all and always comes home so happy! You can tell they always put the little ones first. I also love the hourly updates and daily photos.

My boy had been this centre less than a year. There were good sides but I wouldnt recommend this centre to anyone I know. Because i encountered one inccident with an educator saying ‘stop crying’ to my boy in a loud voice. I talked to the previous receptionist about it straight away and rather than ‘sorry’, she said excuses that my kid is particularly not settling well. No follow ups after either. When I asked how my boy went at the centre, teachers just say ‘he’s good’ and that’s all. The current centre that we’re now sending my kid to, explains very well how he is doing at the centre, daily acitivities and his emotions even.
This centre needs to improve communication with parents.

We’ve called the centre for refund problem about 5 times but still hasnt been solved. Im glad we moved

The staff at Pelican are always friendly and helpful. They have a resident guinea pig that the kids love. The childcare app is great and ita good to see the progress of all the kids.

I am very happy with the staff and management here and most importantly my kids have been happy. Both of my kids have attended this childcare since it first opened. I have seen over the years how my kids have developed well here not just by education but socially too. Pelican child care has long day care hours and the older kids have had fun incursions and excursions. My youngest will be graduating from kinder this year and we will miss them.

MY experience in this center is the worst experience I have ever had. I started sending my two year old son after my mum gone back to home country. First day when I took my son from there he was very upset but I think may be it’s was his first day.after coming home he drank whole cup of water and asking for something to eat then I realised he hadn’t had anything all day.because he couldn’t speak properly I had some time to realise his condition. Second day I complained to reception lady. When I took him to home I saw some rashes on his bum and wee area and he was still hungry like first day. Third day when I picked him up he wasn’t well and I asked staff why he is like this she said he wanted to sit in lap but we don’t have enough time. Whaat? You hired for kids.and we pay to look after them.he was down which turned out he had runny nose and little fewer. I thought it’s just a minor viral it wil go away but that was the worst infection he had. We took him to different hospitals different doctors but his infection was soo stubborn. He became sick for 10 days. When I used to go there to drop and pick him, I saw little kids were picking their water bottles and drinking which they didn’t even know that was their bottles and no one was paying attention.i have some friends who has similar experience over there.

My daughter has been going there since she was six months old. I was so worried initially, but staff reassured me. My little girl is nearly three now. She loves going there. I can see the bond between her and the educators in the room, as she runs to them when I drop her off. At pick up time, staff in the room always tell me how her day was. I love seeing my little girl’s photos during the day, that they share using an app. Can’t speak highly enough!
