Teagan at pelican childcare is the best director at this centre that I have ever worked with.
Therapy4me speech pathology services has collaborated with many childcare’s over the years and this is by far the best run and the attitude and cooperation of the staff is amazing.

Love the centre, the staff are amazing. Tegan & AK make the best leaders in running this tight ship. We are very rarely if at all unhappy and if something needs addressing they resolve everything with ease. They always put us at ease and make us feel great. The rest of the staff are also great, we love Dulani even though our daughter moved rooms. Each and every staff are always willing to help. Lastly the extra attention they put in at the centre is just so special.

My son has been at Pelican childcare for over a year and couldn’t be happier. Each and every staff member are wonderful with all the children. The centre manager Tegan is exceptional, knowledgeable and always makes the time to help out in any way she can. I can’t recommend highly enough what a hidden gem this childcare is and we are truly grateful to know our son is in a safe, caring and nurturing place.

I highly recommend Pelican Childcare Heatherton. The team is AMAZING, the place is clean, light and well furnished and last but not least, my daughter LOVES going there.

My daughter has been at the centre for almost two years, I have always found the staff there to be loving and a family sort of feel. I had my issue's with the last director in charge and didn't always feel heard by her. But since the new management has been put in place and the amazing Tegan has been put in charge I feel heard and that policies are kept up such as the ratio in the rooms, and every child and family is being treated fairly and respectfully which I didn't see kept up with the last director. The love and devotion the current director Tegan shows to not only her job as director but as an extra set of hands to help out when needed in the rooms is truly beautiful. She is always loving and supportive with all the children especially during morning drop offs when children can get upset. The centre itself is clean and open and a really inviting place with a home feel to it. I couldn't imagine sending my daughter anywhere else the whole centre feels like a family and the new management has just made it an absolute dream centre.

My kids have been going here for 6 months now and I cannot fault the centre!
Staff goes above and beyond to care for the children, the centre is always clean and organised and the kids love going each day. They update me during the day on how the kids are going and photos of them as well.
Would recommend this centre to everyone!

I have been sending my son here for a couple months and I am so pleased with the way the staff have been handling the kids as well. I feel safe and happy leaving him there. He loves being there.
Even in-spite of the crisis we are all facing, they have put their heart out there to take care of the kids. It is not easy for anyone but they are doing such a great job! I highly recommend them to everyone.

My twince are going to pelican and this centre is amazing.my children loved to go there and educators are so welcoming.their learning is so good.they learnt so quickly.they know about different shapes, colours.staff is amazing.my children love their educators.so I will must recommend this centre.

I have been sending my son at Pelican since 2016. The educators in this centre are always going above and beyond with my son and the management is at its best. This service has a great team culture and I can only praise the whole team there. Thank you all for all your hard work and dedication. I cannot tell you how much I appreciate it.

Its use to be a really good centre when the old manager Nicole was working there, since she left, centre was never same as before, Look like current management didn't care about anyone.

Fantastic centre. I highly recommend in Every way.
They let me come in with him for 3-5 days for a few hours to get him and myself used to the centre (payment free). Even got every detail of his routine at home so they could make him as comfortable as possible and reassure me that he’d be happy.
I’ve had my son here for just over a year now.
When he started he wasn’t even walking (in fact was quite a bit behind) but within a few months they had him up and walking/running at the rate he should be.
Now he’s counting, knows his colours, fruits and has a great vocabulary.
The educators and new centre manager are all amazing.
Honestly couldn’t be happier and haven’t got a bad word to say!
I feel blessed to have a centre like this for my son.

The Bears (3yr old) room is a bit of a shambles to be honest. My younger son moved up to this room from the perfectly nice Meerkats room in September and it had just had a change of room leader. This new leader was not a warm or kind person and I witnessed myself her being cold and dismissing a sobbing child. My child would shrink from her in the morning when we arrived. This lady was subsequently moved to another room as an assistant and they employed someone else who then suddenly left after 2 weeks with no notice. At this point we had already given notice, after yet another staff member whom the children loved had decided to leave.

Children running around never being made to wear hats even on 35 deg days. My child repeatedly being picked up with soiled underwear. Potty training was a disaster there. Lost belongings - lost hats, clothing, even shoes went missing for several days and I had to buy new ones.

My older son in the kinder room was bored and glad to leave after the months he spent there, in contrast to his experience at community kinder where he came home singing every day.

Please check for yourself the NQS rating before enrolling your child here. The centre manager and some of the other educators are nice people but there is a reason that this centre is rated overall as not meeting national quality standards. The outdoor and indoor area look fantastic, the place even smells wonderful BUT think again: it’s the people and whether they take good care of your children that matters, not all the shiny bells and whistles. I believe the centre manager is working to rectify these problems so in the future it may come good but at $130 a day I would expect a centre to have a higher standard of care and NQS rating.
